Kinda disappointed with a couple places I've contacted via email. No schedule to start making 2016 after market bumpers or sliders. Still working on 2015's etc. 4 to 6 months out they say. I may have some paint chips or dead deer along the road by then. Looking for a front bumper with brush guard I believe they call it and some sliders for my new rig. A aluminum bumper would be nice with it's light weight, but one manufacturer said not making them yet for the 2016's. Should I spend more time on the computer researching? $$$ is burning a hole in my pocket, retiring in two weeks, want to get the truck set up. Help!

Yeah that's about the right time frame, I waited 4 months for the sliders on my 4Runner. You have to remember all these pieces are made by hand so I'm sure the ones they're currently working on were ordered months ago. You can probably find some sliders in stock somewhere but probably not bumpers.

And front bumpers are in the works but we are still a couple months away from final released product.

I like those but to get the Linex option it just about doubles the price:eek:

Sorry, guess I'll have to learn some more about terminology.

Unfortunately that's the normal lead time for anything and it's only made worse with a new model. I preordered stuff for my 2016 before they were even in production just to avoid super long wait times.

RCI sliders (@splitbolt 's link) are great, and in stock usually I think. May add a few weeks if you order with powder coating, which they do a great job with.

Waiting for ARB. They are stocked once they are released.

None of the aftermarket ones I have seen I have liked. I will take an ARB and weld the crush cans and call it a day. My warn 9500i HS or whatever it is waits.

It's just an option to have him do it. I got mine bare and when I get it I'm either going to do it myself or take it to one of the local guys here.

You are better off getting it done locally.

The cost is due to travel time to/from the line-x place and extra packaging/handling so your line-x doesn't get scratched during shipping. It is more of a convenience for those who have no alternative and don't care about the money. It isn't a money-maker for him.

Powder coater close to where I work, but I'm retiring soon, so it would be a trip out of town of 4 hours round trip. I'll have to ask if a bumper can be shipped someplace close to me, like 90 minutes away. :(

Bull bars. Are they like a nerf bar, but protect the grille/radiator area? Like the ARB front bumpers? I'll have to do some more digging. Thank you guys for the links, ordered sliders and gas tank plate. Bumper is gonna be pricey.

I'm not really a fan of bull bars. I've never had one but I've heard (not exactly how true it is but) if you hit something all its going to do is bend back into your bumper and grill. Congrats in the sliders and plate! Who'd you go with?

I liked RCI Metalworks, price, description sounded good, shipping. Will ship to my door. I like the ARB bumpers but none available yet for 2016's. I don't care for the angular, bug eyed headlight protection of some. I like the straight line that ARB uses and noticed one more from the above links, but the bumper was pricey. Will have to think about the price.

Yea those bug eyed things are hoops. You can get them without hoops like I did. Arb bumpers are expensive! The green fog light plates in the picture of the SOS bumpers are an option as well, I decided to not get them either. I got the bare bones because I think it looks better! Just give me a winch mount and fog cutouts and I'm a happy dude!

I also need to make sure I can mount a license plate to the front in Kalifornia.
