Not sure if my post was very clear. I believe my problem was the shocks themselves (5100's - mainly drivers side). I bought all the hardware to assemble my OEM shocks cause a few years ago I used all the original hardware on the 5100's. So basically I replaced the whole shock assembly. Put the originals back in with some small spacers and new hardware. Hope that clears up my situation.

I need to do EBC Yellow Kevlar brakes on mine, and when I do that will determine if it indeed is my brake pads and hardware allowing shifting within the calipers.

Polyurethane motor mounts and power steering rack bushings first though.

    Racetruck before noise hunting. #priorities

NICE...!! @jtweezy I just ordered my bushings from @Wheeler's Off-Road, Inc let's see if this solves my problem... I was under the truck the other night and saw what you mentioned. I did't try and move them as i dint have any tools with me but I did see that the front leaf eye bushings were slightly off-centered. Will report back..!!

Did you get the bushings for front and rear spring eyelets? I'd suggest doing them both. I tried to figure out a way to drop one side of the leaf pack and keep the other side bolted in, but it just wasn't happening. If you do one, do 'em both!

Whelp. No luck on the shock tower pads. I like having them in there but I still got a rattle. Gonna have to borrow/steal a GoPro or maybe have a buddy drive it slow while I walk along side. At this point it has to be wheel bearings, tie rods, coil chatter, or maybe something completely simple like a body panel.

FYI, If you use the ES pads they are not the right size. You will need to cut the skirt off flat since the skirt diameter is larger than the hole diameter on the bucket. Also you have to cut your own holes.

Gonna have to borrow/steal aGoPro. I would defiantly just steal one! Haha but seriously though that sucks that it didn't fix it. You got some nice high dollar suspension. Besides the rattle how does it drive and handle?

Is there play in the top mount of the coilover (where the round thing is connected to the ball looking thing)? I was researching Fox coilovers and it seems some people have gotten noise because that top mount has too much side-to-side play.

@jtweezy In my case, the shop who installed them put the O.M.E. bushing's on the shackle hangers and the rear leaf eye's (Not sure if this is fine...). Yesterday I moved the front part of the leaf pack with a crowbar. You can also see the bushing O.M.E places in the front eye's sliding out to one side, the bushing is sliding/moving more on the Pass side thank the Driver. I really hope this solves my problem..!!

Well I'm witholding final opinion until I get the noise issue sorted out. I will be a little sad if it turns out to be the coils chattering. Not sure what I could do about that except maybe increase preload or figure out some way to pad them. Otherwise I am really loving the ADS gear front and rear.

I was noticing that too. Everything seemed to be tight but I will double check.

My issue is solved and done.

Turns out my brakes were indeed toast. I swapped them out today for the EBC Yellow Kevlars, lubed up the pins (which were bone dry mind you) and slapped it all back together. Took it for a quick test drive and tested the forwards/backwards clacking sound. I am SO pleased to say that it is GONE!!! GONE GONE GONE! The only thing I need to still do is add an extra brake pad retention spring on the upper as you can see in the picture, everything else is set to go, and the pads have a lot more initial bite and clamping force to stol the truck over the OE pads.

62K. It's been a fantastic run with OE with about 15% remaining on the pads, but it was time to swap them out and I solved the inertia based clacking issue I used to have in the process!!! I am BEYOND happy!!! :D

In time I will swap out to SS brake lines and change the fluid to ATE Super Blue fluid. In time though.

SWEET! Glad to see everyone's getting their noises figured out and fixed. I'm at 43K and my front pads still have quite a bit of material on them, but let us know how those EBCs work out for you. I used to run EBCs on a previous vehicle and loved them. I'm also interested in doing SS brake line upgrades when the time comes to flush the brake fluid.

This is actually my first set of these pads ever. I used to run Hawk LTS pads I think with slotted rotors on my old GTO. It was an awesome setup and gave the car so much better stopping power! What sucked about that car though was that the car had floating calipers compared to the fixed ones these trucks do.

Good to know. I'll need to do my brakes soon. I'm at 53k but have done some towing. I've never been happy with the brakes and I've had the clacking noise on brake application for a couple of years now. Just gotten used to it I guess. So no noise and better braking? I need to do that!

I got used to it as well, though it still annoyed the hell out of me. Do it and you'll love it all over again!

Have you done the squeaky leaf fix yet? I did mine before install and have never heard the slightest sound from them.

Also re: the front end clunk, I torqued my too-loose LCA cam bolts after the knobs at the tire shop did an alignment and left them loose. So far that has done away with my front end clunk when the front end is flexed.

Talk to @Bonzen and @Supermoto they are awesome!

They should work a lot better on our trucks then on my old GTO's dual piston floating calipers. We got 4 piston fixed.
