Mongoose Terrex, Wally World special but I've had good luck with Mongoose so far. I was looking at Diamondbacks but I couldn't see putting down that kind of money for what I'll be using it for.

Hi there, I'm interested in purchasing a used Tacoma in your guys' area. It is at the Toyota of Danvers dealership. Would any of you have a spare moment to go check out the truck for me? I live in Missouri and would appreciate somebody trustworthy to take a look at it. If you can check out either of the trucks below please let me know. Here's the link:

    http://www.toyotaofdanvers.com/barg...-Danvers-70d1b6fe0a0e0ae8318c7be26dc3bc2e.htm

I also just spotted this one in Vernon, CT at a dealer:

Yeah, I'm a little apprehensive about buying from a non-Toyota dealer. On a brighter note, this site is awesome.

I moved in with her and we ended up buying her twin sister and hubby's house. We looked for months before that came through and did both get involved in it

I would avoid most NE trucks unless they have had the frame replaced. People like Cam have parts of the frame rusting To the point they deform, but unless there is a hole Toyota passes them. The rust warranty is over end of the month? Unless they extended it again like they have several times in the past.

Hmm I was wondering why it seemed like most of the used tacomas were from the north east....

Every time I try to get a friend or family member to get a Tacoma, probably 80% of them have the frames replaced in the NE. I should be able to check tonight on that truck.

Some people did really well with the frame swap. A local guy I know has an 07 swb dbl that is lifted with 35's on it. They checked his frame last year and it failed. They replaced the frame and LCA's, UCA's and a few other things I forget now. But the undercarriage of his truck is practically new now.

I don't know why people do this shit--there was plenty of room in the right lane for the jackass to get over but he persisted in holding up the other guy. Rules are--travel in the right lane unless you want to pass--many places even have the highway advisory signs set with this message for those who can't remember simple rules. If you slam on your brakes for absolutely no reason and cause a wreck like this you should be prosecuted for wreckless endangerment and given the max penalty/end rant.

But this is MA... everyone knows that the breakdown lane is the fastest travel lane.

There was a car merging onto the highway from that on-ramp, and so holding the left lane was perfectly justified. The DMV handbook (and my driver's ed. instructors) always said that if you were on the highway and somebody was attempting to merge on, to assist them by either moving over into the left hand lane or to hold that lane if you were already in it as long as it was safe to do so.
On the other hand, the DMV handbook also says to allow for at least a 3 second following distance between vehicles, not three feet. Specifically so that if somebody has to brake (or their foot touches their brake pedal because they're considering braking), the following vehicle doesn't have to panic brake and/or lose control to avoid a collision. I mean, if I'm braking and there's somebody behind me, I always try to give a warning tap or two on the pedal, just enough to flash the lights, to let the person behind me know what I'm about to do. :notsure:
As far as I'm concerned, the guy tailgating is the one to blame by overestimating the abilities of himself (or herself) and the car they're driving.

    Edit-
But, I never took Mass. Driver's Ed, where tailgating is how you make people go faster, and it's somebody else's fault if you crash

    :stirthepot:

    Morning all. :p

Yea I get what you're saying about the on ramp BUT on ramps are supposed to yield AND slamming on your brakes with no justifiable cause but to antagonize another driver is wreckless all day long

Well, in this case it was wreck-full :rimshot:

Tailgating has no justifiable cause other than to antagonize another driver either. Do unto others.... :notsure:

As a disclaimer, tailgating is one of my biggest pet peeves, especially as a motorcyclist. In a car, if you tailgate me and I have to slam my brakes on, you'll hit my car, we'll both have insurance headaches, and we'll both end up pissed off. On a motorcycle, if you tailgate me and I have to slam my brakes on, I'll not only stop considerably faster than you, but I'll probably end up underneath your car. So I have an extremely low tolerance for tailgaters in general.

In ny they'll ticket you for riding in the left lane and not passing. I think most people around here aren't even aware that it's a law. Certainly anyone from ri is oblivious to it

As it should be. I'm Portuguese, and when I go back home on vacation I enjoy driving there more than I do here. The left lane on the highway is a passing lane not a cruising lane, and there (as I'm sure it is in probably every other country in the world more than here) it is really enforced.

People around here seem to hog the left lane, always. A very good example of that, and how people just love driving in that lane is where I hop on the highway to get to work. The on ramp basically becomes an ongoing lane, so starting there, there are 3 lanes for a while. One day, on my way to a soccer game at about 7 or 8 pm, I jumped on and someone was ahead of me. There was NO ONE on the highway. The person in front of my, the minute the solid merging lane ended and became stripped FLEW to the left lane. No blinker no nothing. :notsure:
