    There has been much discussion in multiple threads on this topic so why not make a reference thread?

    Crawlbox: aka "dual cases". An additional gear reduction case that installs between the transmission and transfer case to allow for a lower gear ratio than the stock transfer case low.

    Hints, tricks, and generally just some good info for those interested.

    I'll post up some pics,links, and additional descriptions soon.

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    Good idea

    I have something there is a clunk when shifting gears or a hard start with mine at least it sounds like the crawl box I'm thinking it might be the collar to the trans output it's almost like there is slop from forward to reverse. Other then that my T case itself could have a stretched chain. I've been trying to pinpoint it for a wile now I just haven't pulled the cases because i don't have the time.

    I've got the Inchworm crawlbox on order, hope to see it in the next month or so. I just got an FJ TCase minus the shifter
    I Have a 6-speed truck
    So here are my questions:

    If I can't find a factory FJ shifter cheaply and easily what are my options for twin sticks?
    What other parts should I be accumulating while waiting for the box?
    How does "Clocking" the tranfer case work?
    Does anyone have the drivesaft measurements so I can have my spare front (and rear if I can find one) modded before the install?

    I should have a shifter for you, but I opted for the Front Range Offroad twin stick.

    I did not receive a crawl box shifter from lowrange when I ordered my inchworm box, but I'm hoping that was an oversight.

    Craig will have to explain the clocking as I haven't done mine yet.

    You'll need the mount for the transfer case, a DPDT momentary switch for the front ADD, and I'm sure there's something else that I'll figure out we need in the next couple weeks.

    You'll need to fabricate a new crossmember to support the crawlbox so you need the mount:

    Switch for the front actuator & prerunner blank to replace the 4x4 dash dial.

    Clocking raises the t-case up higher & allows for additional clearance.

    Ant's got the measurements for the driveshafts but I'd honestly wait until you get the cases in to do the shafts if possible. Every truck's got it's own variables...

    I have a spare transmission and mount so I'm hoping to find a spare crossmember I can modify and have prefabbed for my install. I readlly want the install to go quickly and easily by doing as much beforehand as possible.

    Is there a wiring kit or any advice/instructions availible for the front diff wiring?
