I wondered that about the 2" adjustment but it's designed to be a level, or at least advertised as one.

It had a good rake then when they did alignment, it leveled out nice.

If that FOX kit has been updated for 2016 trucks then it really should only give you 2"s of lift since the suspension sits 1"higher on the 2016.

No it was 3" predator lift with extra leaf in back. Also added SPC Upper control arms.

Good luck with anything from Fat Bob's. That company is a piece of work.

Ya I found this out after I got it! Kit is pretty good and it rides nice! I will just change out the front struts when new 5100's come out.

Known copying of other designs, including some pending litigation on a copied design, closing up shop and disappearing to avoid litigation. Those types of business ethnics I would rather not give my money too. But that is me.

Ahhhh, I see, I see. I haven't actually used any of their products. Purchased and returned. They were polite and helpful with the refund. But who knows. Sucks you had a shitty experience. Thanks for the info. Glad I gave it to Toytec

That looks like 2" lift, front and back. Alignment does not effect your lift amount, your suspention probably settled after some Driving to alignment shop. Don't wait for Bilstaine to release shocks for 16.... better get some softer coils that would work better with 5100, in your case OME 885 set at .85

Oh ya for sure! Didn't take any measurements. Just was glad to get it lifted some so I can but some 285's on her. It does look a lot better than stock.

    Installed
Bilstein 6112s in the front on highest setting. Sits at 24"
5160s on the back with Toytec Progressive 3 leaf spring and it sits 24 on the dot as well. Now, wheels and tires. Wish ARB would hurry with the bumpers!

That's a good price. I've heard great things about them and almost went with them instead of the Grabber AT2. I'll probably go with the Nitto Trail Grappler next time, I keep hearing great things about Nitto

I don't know about this stuff from any point of view but my personal research here, and at my local shops when deciding on lifts/leveling. I know that none of the shops I talked to or did business with suggested changing the coils with my set up. I went with the 5100RHA as well. Bilstein, who I think is pretty reputable doesn't even suggest it, and in fact they are marketing it to go with OEM coilovers. They claim the spring seat would fail before the clip fails. So, that's all FWIW. YMMV.

Wait so you are saying that Bilstein specifically told you to use OEM 2016 tacoma coils on their adjustable 5100's? Was that a phone conversation or something in writing?

That would be a news because so far Bilstein states that that the 2016 shock is "under development". So I am curious what they actually told you.

Wait, so you can't read for comprehension?

My post, the one you quoted, is self explanatory. Read it again, slowly, and watch the accompanying video. It speaks to Bilstein's marketing of the 5100RHA.

Ok so first off my response was not sarcasm it was a true, genuine reply. You must not have had your coffee yet this morning. I did in fact want to know if you yourself had spoken to Bilstein on the 2016 coils because their offical statement is "under development". Thought maybe you had spoken to them and now they have some new information. And with your reply I see that is not case and nothing has changed.

The video you posted was great information regarding the c clip and it's limits. Thanks for posting that. However was posted in 2014 so it would not pertain to the 2016 3rd gen tacomas that have a significantly higher spring rate then the 2nd gen stock coils. Information on that spring rate can be found in the first post of this thread.

So fact remains that the current 5100 is not for the 2016 3rd gen Tacoma and everyone going this direction is giving Bilstein R&D free of charge and I hope it is successful for all of you.

I was mid 3rd cup and post workout when I responded. If I took your response wrong, then that's on me. I thought my post was pretty clear that I was referring to their marketing. I concede that vid is from 2014. Maybe we're all making huge mistakes with the 5100s on 16s. Again, in the FWIW category, they market it on their website to be compatible with stock coils. That's the extent of my knowledge at this point.

Had the Nittos on my 2nd gen Tundra and loved them. Also to get he BFGs that everyone is running it's about another $400, so to me that is just crazy for me to spend that much more on tires when the Nittos are great.
