So I've been going over options and wiring methods for a while now trying to nail down a solution for the lighting and accessories I want to do. I've been talking to a couple TW guys who make the harnesses/switch panels trying to get info.

If I go with the standard 6 switch rocker setup:
Half of my lighting will require 3 pole switches (on/off/on). The problem is, getting those 3 position switches wired up to work as you would want them to (with the center description lit up all the time and then the switched to accessory lit up) you need twice as many relays and even then its a partial solution. This will leave me with 3 open slots after the 3 pole lighting is done. I can use regular 2 pole switches for the remainders and they will work as they should. one will be taken up by rock lights, so then there's two open spots left.

If I go with a SwitchPro-8:
I will have 2 more switches, but can use them all as intended. all lights will work, etc, but have to use one switch each for the 3 pole lights, which means I will have 1 open slot after my rock lights. its smaller, has more switches allowing me to use it how it should, easy to use, mounts anywhere.

price is going to be about the same.. Switchpro just a little more.

I'm sure it's quite a bit more expensive but that S-Pod is pretty bad ass.. Otherwise I really like the switch pro

 

Which rocker switches are you looking at? OTRATTW?

 

A SPDT Switch (On/Off/On), some jumpered wiring and a single relay each should work just fine.

I looked at that switch pro the other day. Pricey but super clean!!!

 

forgot about the Spod.. checking it again. not sure if it will be any better tho. Ill have to read up and see if it can do what I want.

yeah I know.. but there is no middle LED for the 3 pole switches. I've been talking to a guy who makes the harnesses.

Each LED is Independent on the SPDT switches they have.

So the diagram I attached would have the lower LED on with the Dash Lights (or whatever input). Upper LED would come on only when in either ON position.

Switch centered is OFF
Switch Down turns the light on with High Beams (or whatever input)
Switch Up turns in ON

Single Relay and Single Fuse per light/switch

Illumination and Ground could be daisy chained.

 

yeah was reading on that. gonna send them an email later seeing if it can do what i want it to. just need to control 2 outputs with one switch.
