The TC uca's are not a problem. The problem is the tire would rub on the sway bar end links, and they shouldn't have with the Tuff Country lift. There tech people tried to figure out a fix and couldn't come up with anything that would work. Again this shouldn't have been a problem. So the sent out some spacers which I really didn't want but didn't know what else to try. Now we don't hit the links but are hitting the fenders so I had him rip off the flares and still hitting. So I figured a trip to a body shop now to have reconstruction of the fenders and probably another 1000 or 1500 bucks. But thinking it over, maybe easier faster and less money to get smaller tires. Toyo has a 285 75 17. I would think that should work with a 6"lift. I think Tuff Country should buy them and they can have there spacers back . I should have been driving my truck weeks ago, and still can't really drive it.

I would try swapping stock ucas to see if that would fix your rubbing. Problem with non adjustable ucas is that if you don't have enough lift on your coil they will give you lots of caster and that would move your wheel closer to the cab, where I think you are rubbing. You had installed everything at once so it's hard to know how every part effects your ride. Anyway I think it's worth checking ucas before doing any expensive mods to the body

I can see you have them on. Try swap I stock one back on and see if it's still rubbing, you can do one side just to test. It's literally taking off wheel and undoing two bolts to take them off. If that will solve your rubbing problem, get adjustable ucas.

I've got a fox stage one lift in the mail right now, should arrive Friday, so weekend project :) I've never changed out suspension before, where can I find the torque specs for the install?

You are very smart X Tacoma 16! I know what you are talking about now, and I had another person at an auto shop think possibly the same thing! He told me to measure my stock UCA and measure the total chaos to see if they were the same length from bolt to bolt. Said if the stock one would push me out farther on top, the alignment could be done to push the bottom out and I would have more room. Hard to be exact on measurement but they looked to be about the same measurement from what I could tell. He also said if I adjusted the front coil so the front came up three quarters of an inch I would be more level and that would possibly give me more room from the end link, and more fromthe fender. I had Firestone techs look at it also and we ended up pulling off the inch and a half spacers because that was making me rub my fender really bad. Now I just need maybe a half inch or less to not rub on that sway bar link.

Can anyone help with information on a lift kit for my TRD offroad 4X2? I had a local store try to research information and they cant seem to find anything and I don't want a body lift. I want suspension with a nice ride and about a 3" lift with possible rims and tires. I would rather pay a little extra for better quality, just don't know what to look for to know what better quality is with reading specs. Any information would be awesome! Thanks

Hey all, question: If I wanted to lift the front 2/3 " inches, I would have to do the same to the rear, correct (if I wanted it evel or some rake)? Therefore, what's the most economical way (while keeping in mind performance and preserving truck integrity and components)? I know Bilstein hasn't come out with shocks for '16 yet, so what's another comparable brand? Could I mix and match brands for front and rear, etc? Thanks again for your advice and info!

A lot of guys are using Bilstein 5100s with good results, you just set those up in the front on the .85 setting and you'll have a level truck, no other changes needed. They are pretty affordable too. Check the toyteclifts website for full kits as well
