Pictures to follow soon, a friend of mine pulled over when he saw me with my truck smashed and got a lot of pictures.

I'm at a light, in traffic... Damn young girl hits me full on at at least 50 the cop thinks. So has NO coverage, just got her license back that day, kid in her tiny Mazda, car is a friends, what a mess.

So her car was basicly under my bed, front end completly gone.

My truck, not as bad as I thought it was, but need a new front bumper (pushed me into the car ahead) New bed, gas tank, exhaust, rear bumber, and maybe a new rear axle. Didnt feel bent to me, but the shop thinks it took a hit too.

Having to drive a damn HHR now for the next week, I hate it! I will say this, these damn Tacoma's can take a rear end hit!! Her car is a mess!!

The one with my gas door is hard to see, but the door will not close and the fill hose is shifted back about an inch.

I'm fine other then a bruse on my chest from the belt and a stiff back, hit my knee real good on the dash or something too, but yeah I was able to drive it to the shop and walked out with nothing major wrong.

They wont total the truck unless they find frame damage. It's looking like it wasnt more then just the listed things. I'll find out more on Monday though.

or she's just an irresponsible mother trying to rid herself of life's duties. It was attempted suicide, going 50mph into a truck.

Glad you're okay. sorry for your truck.

Actually she was on the phone. The first thing I did when hit was look in the rear view, and she had her phone up to her face. No way in less then 15 seconds she had a call made about the crash.

So I tell the cop this, he has some system that allows him to punch her number in and it tells how long ago the last call was made and text was sent. She was on it. Seems she also had several tickets for it, all outstanding.

Get an attorney ASAP. You will need it before all this is over. I was ran over on my motorcyle while going to work back in 2005. It was a women in a minivan, on the phone with young child all over the inside of the van. Impact seriously changed my life in a flash! I ended up with an attorney to protect me, I was not at fault but the insurance companies are very dishonest and are only there to protect themselves. It took 15 months to get it resolved in the meantime me and my healthcare ins. Were stuck paying $30k in medical bills. Do not trust anyone they are all snakes. I am serious get an attorney you can thank me later. Good luck and glad it was not worse.

I dont think I need one. She has no coverage and USAA has me covered so far. She isnt hurt at all, and made that statement on the report. If needed I will get one, but so far like I said its all taken care of.

What happens to all her damage since she has no insurance? Her friend, owner of the car, is gonna sue the shit out of her.
What about you? Your insurance pays for you? Would that mean your premium goes up?

I could care less what happens to her. The car she was in was a 1999 Mazda thing so its paid for I would guess. As for me, yeah I have to make the claim but its not my fault so my rates stay the same, also here in San Diego you would be stupid not to have uninsured collision coverage, so I am good there too.

Accidents suck, but keep in mind that you cant help it in a case like this. I was just heading home stopped at a light. Not much you can do if the person behind you is stupid.
