I removed mine. Its just extra metal. if one of the struts breaks, the other one can still hold the hood open in Oh Shit moments, its just a little precarious.

honestly shocking toyota did that yet my 03 has hood struts.

it just felt so right

 

Obviously because Toyota hated the Tacoma and didn't do shit to it for 10 years...sooo...yea.

 

because people kept buying! Now look what it did. Created the trophy for participation buyers we see in the 3rd gen section.

Toyota is all over the place with their options. My 06 Tundra has a sunroof, hood struts, leather, DVD and a locking tailgate. Yet it doesn't have dual auto window switches like my 2000 4runner had.

Yeah thats a damn good deal! I got mine through the last group buy and this is even cheaper.

Now maybe @Bentrodder won't need the stool to help reach the damn hood prop rod anymore!

 

So apparently it's gonna take 3 fricken days to replace the alternator on wife's sequoia. So this is what they gave us to drive for a few days.
