Brand doesn't matter, Uniden and Cobra, I have one of each.
What matters is size.

I have the 75. It works great. I just tend to mumble a lot.

 

No you just hook up a mega phone on the truck and then you can just sit in the truck and bitch at people!!

I have that midland and used to have a cobra. The cobra was better and I'm going to find one soon to replace this midland

 

I think the only time i would have liked a remote cb would have been when we were on hells gate on the escalator part and on of the guys flopped and we almost had to pull a second guy that was not in his jeep back up right @WJeeper

 

If you want that style, the Cobra 75 people are talking about is the better choice. I've been running this one for years:

and it meets my needs pretty well. It's also about 25% cheaper than the one you link normally, and on sale right now for $45 apparently. I have it on a 4' Firestik mounted on the front bed rail, but have yet to do a permanent in-cab mount for it.

 

I have never had a need for a cb out of the truck, and the hand held's have a very limited range when using the supplied antenna.

Edit, not saying it isn't a good idea, just never had the need for it.

 

You can't blame that on the CB

 

What you need is one of those back pack radios used in the military and run around like your being shot at. ( if you do it long enough you might actually get shot at)

 

I have this exact same setup and my SWR sucks. I'm finally throwing in the towel and getting a cb shop to tune it

 

Look what I found. Bet this guy is running a full sized cb.

Damnit you guys...now I'm on Amazon shopping for CB radios too. I have so much other crap to buy.
