    Hey Guys,

I was wondering if you can do me a favor and post up some measurements on your steps if you have a Double Cab Short Bed. I am going to making a set simalar to them for my truck except they are going to be welded to the frame so I can use them for a Hi-Lift point. I sure many of y'all will say to make a set of sliders but sliders are a little hard to use for steps and are more or less useless on my truck since i'm a prerunner and if I'm on a set of sliders on rocks I'll most likely be stuck do to not having 4x4 But they would save some panels on the flip side which would be nice. (I Hope I don't offend anyone by saying that) anyways I was wondering If you all would be Kind enough to send the measurements need in the picture I drew up. You will be repped for your kindness and mentioned in the build thread for them.

    Thanks For your Time,

    Alex

How about getting a set of sliders, and making the steps for them? May save some time.

I was thinking about that last night. But I'm going this Direction because I have all of the Round stock In NM when I go up in a month and it will only take a few hours to whip these out. So they aren't costing me anything to make. I was going to make a set of sliders like those square flat ones that are like "hardcore Running boards" I've seen but I don't have enough time down there to make them, same with normal round sliders. But who know I may change the plan I have a month to decide. Thanks for your "Master" opinion though Chris

Well if you give me all your measurements that would be great I can still use them. I think the top main bar will be slightly shorter then yours but it will be fine.

Chris How many legs do you think I should have going from the main bar to the Frame? I was thinking four. one on each end and then one in the middle of each step.

I do know that they have 3 brackets that you screw to the trucks frame.

They bolt into the bottom of the floor of your truck in the same location as OEM steps. The ones I'm making are actually welded to the frame itself. But thanks for the info :)

Ok I will add one in the center to my drawing in Visio. Thanks

Thats cool! Our truck doesn`t have any steps, I just figured they mounted to the frame! I stand corrected!!

I got 84" end to end, and the ends curve in towards to truck. 2" main bar (outer edgeaway from the truck) to the inside of the step bar is 3".Distance between the steps at the closest point is 16 1/2". And the distance inside the step were both end weld back into the main bar is 17". Hope this helps ya? Let me know if you need more info? Or if I need to explain it better!!
