Just ordered my DCSB BBP with a manual!! I have my fingers crossed I'll fit and be comfortable as I'm 6'4" and of course couldn't test drive the manual due to availability. (Auto without moonroof seemed to be fine) Anyone who ordered recently know how long the wait is?

I am about 6'4" 210 pounds but with long legs and I fit comfortably. I don't have the seat all the way back either.

Good to know, Thank you. I have a truck on order, but the one I drove had a moon roof and it was a little close for comfort, so it sounds like the extra height from not having the moon roof with be a step in the right direction. Can anyone tell me if all tacoma have the sliding rear window. It seams like every truck I have seen has one. That is definitely an option I want.

Mine has sliding rear without the the tech package. I'm pretty sure it is standard.

I ordered 1/5/16, and just received the email that it arrived today. I am 6'2" and opted to pass on the tech package (sunroof) as well because it felt a little too tight.

Supposed to hit the 20th, Dealer is giving me hell because i dont have a SOcial Security Card. Go figure, the Taco must be #1 for Identity Theives!!! I dont have much confidence also in the TRD-Pro being availiable this fall. They cant keep up with demand with all the other models. That fire at a plant in Japan kicked their ass!!

It's the TRD short throw shifter, or quickshifter as they call it.

Movement of shifter knob (gear changes) through gears should be shorter and more precise...An after install review would be much appreciated StevoNB...Thanks in advance

TRD quickshifter install completed. It was actually pretty easy. All of the trim pieces came apart easier than expected. The biggest PITA was scraping off all the gasket material after removing the stock shifter. And I initially had some difficulty lining up the new shifter for some reason, but eventually it just fell into place.

As for the performance, I love it. Throws are noticeably shorter. Like, way shorter. What surprised me the most is the reduction in side to side movement. I guess I was only really thinking it would shorten the distance vertically and not horizontally. This makes shifting from second to third and fourth to fifth much easier. For example, when in fourth gear and shifting to fifth gear, fifth is no longer as far to the right. Same with the 2-3 shift. Reverse is similar. The shifter feels like it only moves half as far to the left as it did before when shifting to reverse. And as most reviews say, it takes way more effort to shift into reverse. Overall, it now requires a bit more effort to shift in any gear, but it's not excessive and I think it's a good trade off for the reduced spacing between gears.

TRD on the left, stock on the right.
