I'd say coons got the fish, pretty vicious critters.

    Evening all:
Dave, looks like deer droppings to me also, probably not from the same critter that is after your fish.

I say deer or rabbit droppings, probably deer.

Most likely a raccoon or bobcat got your fish but may not have left scat.

A little change of subject, but am I the only one who thinks; "Well, I'll limit myself to just one thing per month for the Tacoma", and then deals come up on TW, and you HAVE to take advantage of them?
So far this year, at one thing per month, I'm somewhere around June, heading towards July...2019

I collect camping and backpacking stoves, close to 150 now. The upgrading for the new truck should be a breeze. Mean while back at the ranch, I have two more stoves waiting for me at the Post Office to be picked up when I get home Friday. Just ordered sliders and a plate for the gas tank. Have to check out more front bumpers.

I had the same problem with my Die Cast Model Cars and Trucks. Finally just about ran out of room for any more...

I'm single, a few stoves and lanterns are in my mobile home now for display, the rest in the garage on shelves. Don't really take up much space. Later this summer I want to redo the shelves yet again.

Single here as well. About 235 1/18th scale die-casts in showcases in my mobile home addition. Of course the damn boxes take up a TON of space...

I'm up, coffee's made, dishwasher is emptied, trash is out, pond is secured with mesh cover! We have a houseful of guests this week so I have to keep one step ahead of them.

As to the pond, I'm leaning towards raccoon too. Confounded country living sometimes. I know, they're just fish. But they've been in that pond since I put them in there as little tykes ~10 years ago and they'd become part of the family.

good luck, but I don't think that mesh cover will stop them, unless it is metal and staked into the ground, they are some ingenious little bass-turds, a BB gun will work!

    Morning all:
 Yup, those raccoons are very ingenious!
Couple years ago I was at war with a raccoon, but I finally outsmarted it!
Couldn't believe that it actually figured out how to turn the lid off of a plastic garbage can to get at the cat food inside!

The one thing that still has me stumped is the almost total lack of residue. A couple of scales, a piece of fin, that is all that was left behind. No bones, tails, skulls, nothing else at all. It's like they were carried off or totally consumed. Even if they were totally consumed right there I'd expect to find something. These were not little goldfish, these were substantial fellas.
