    So do BudBuilt.
    Yup.
IIR that's a weld-on product to protect the rear of the diff - not a full skid. I could be wrong though.

Just checked, the defined engineering one is 100% bolt on for both the 8.4 and the Elocker diffs

Meh, just weld a small plate to the bottom of the diff. Diff is super thick there though so not really necessary. Only really need to protect the plug.

My rear diff came out untouched. I also have a metal circle around the plug to protect it.

thje problem exists when the metal circle gets bent in and lock the nut in place, then breaks off when you bend it back 100 times

cut a piece of 2'' sch 40 pipe (I think that's the right size). weld it to the diff on the outside, and then weld it to the stock ring on the inside. you end up with a 3/4'' thick guard that won't bend over into the nut.

I have a set identical to yours, already smashed, only catch is they are grey, but rattle cans and an angle grinder can fix that

    red is the diff plug.
    green is the stock guard
blue is the piece of pipe you cut a small section of

you essentially triple the "wall" of the guard.

Hey fellow Rausch Creek riders. I've just bought a 2011 Tacoma off-road access cab and I'm about an hour and a half from Rausch Creek so I plan on making that my main place to be. Seeing as how most or all of you have been there before what kind of under carriage armor should i be putting on my Tacoma? I had also been talking to other members here about the best lift kit size and tires. Maybe get a little insight of what would work best at this park.
