Ah well, I went in on a full set when his GB started up a while ago. I'm certain someone around here would gladly take that off your hands

Edit ^ Yup you already got a potential buyer

has anyone on here ever mounted and ran the trail gear bumper bracket and winch mount plate without the actual tube bumper?

i was thinking of maybe selling my arb and running just that bracket and winch plate without the tube bumper and then either building or buying the tube later on. its pretty much $800 CAD for the complete low-profile TG tube bumper and much less for just the mounting bracket and winch plate

They both cost a lot. If you do leaf SAS up front it's probably the cheapest option really haha

Put a new battery in it. Nothing fancy, but crucial all the same.

You mean basically not have a bumper? The tg crossmember replaces the factory crossmember, the bumper has the winch plate welded on and you bolt that plate to the new tg crossmember

basically yes, you can buy the TG crossmember +hardware and the winch plate as separate components (without the tube bumper welded to the plate) and just bolt it all together. costs about half the price compared to the complete bumper unit, then have the option of welding on custom tubes afterwards later on

i'm just running the idea through my head because i've wanted a simpler tube bumper in the front for a long time. either way i look at it though seems to not make sense $ wise... nothing wrong with the arb its just big and bulky and i haven't ran into any deer or moose lately so wouldn't mind downsizing. shitty CAD$ is making it harder though

Well summit sells the low profile bumper for $400us. Wonder if 4wp up there will price match and convert, would put it around 550cad...If not maybe do a road trip to the states and pick one up?

LoL. I just clocked the other day to get a bit more tire clearance. Now the decals point up. I might just pull them off since they don't stick very well anyway.

i've tried haggling down the guys at 4wp before and there were pretty firm around 650-700 unfortunately. maybe if i keep bugging them over and over again haha... i think they must get dinged with border fees or something, i imagine i'd have the same problem even if i made the road trip which is about 6-7 hours round trip just to the border. i figure i could get $500 for my arb currently, and since i'm still in school full-time and our economy is in the toilet right now its just not worth it if i cant break even trading bumpers around since its only preference not functional

getting the TG parts separate and building the tubes might be a good idea for someday though... probably will just leave it alone for now till things pick up around here again..

Just put it on at a walmart parking lot lol it's not too hard since it's relatively light and it just bolts up.

hahah that is a great suggestion, would be easy enough to drive down with no bumper then install it on site. may be the best option if i decide to pull the trigger on it

CBI is in Idaho Falls ID, they're listed as a TG dealer but they don't have any TG stuff on their website, might give them a call. they also offer their bumper as a weld together kit for $450 that you might be able to sneak thru the border lol

Or go to 4wp on the ID/WA border near Spokane and have them price match somebody...

Doesn't it say on that link that they aren't beadlock compatible? I was just looking at those the other day for the same reasons.
