Hey guys! I'm from the Beaverton/Portland area. Haven't done much trail riding and don't know anyone or any groups in my area. Depending on the date you all go would love to join you!

He is big in the Ram community. He just started marketing Toyota setups. But he has been in the desert game a long time and just knows shocks. Real cool guy let me pick my stuff up at his house at like 730 at night. And even talked me out of stuff because my truck is mostly street. I've been real happy with the suspension on my ram. He is concerned with customer happiness.

Scott at suspension specialties might be a good bet as well. He did the lift and installed my lockers as well. Im not sure if he rebuilds shocks but might be worth checking out.

Hey Rob, you're always welcome to come down and ride. This area offers some good trails though not overly 'technical', at least most of the ones I've been on. At Cline butte it's a nice mix of dust, some technical and VERY SHARP HARD ROCKS THAT WILL BEAT UP YOUR RIDE. it's a fun area, wear protection. Edison butte is nice, pretty snowed in right now.
There are many tw people in the pdx area. Go to the 'region' northwest and look at the oregon Washington threads. Coastal range seems to be about the favorites.
Another group I wheel with is gitout.com a wonderful group of guys.

Medford area here, I'm hoping to make it up to the Bend area this summer and do some camping and exploring. I actually run a Facebook page called "State of Jefferson Toyota Owners", feel free to join up.

It helps. I get razzzed bc some areas I will not go through bc I really can't afford to replace truck parts on my DD. I have factory tin under my truck. My sliders have saved me a few times. And, I've often considered getting a spare set of tires just for Clint butte. Every dent and damage I've incurred has happened in this area. Just a warning but it is a fun area.

I appreciate it. I'm for sure going to get sliders before I try but the skid plates will have to hold off. So as long as there are some easier trails with not to much stuff to ding up the underneath. It's my daily driver as well!

Checked out the CVT display at the Sportsman's show yesterday. Looked really nice. Too bad he shares a room with the Ford dealership

Nice, I do this, too. Wednesday I got side- tracked coming home from Madras. Got lost(ish) east of Redmond but found several mud holes:amen:. Likely there are more now since it rained today.

Is that just kind of that small hill sticking up in the plain between Bend and Redmond?

It's Southwest of Eagle Crest, in the middle of the triangle between Redmond, Sisters, and Bend. There is a decent gravel road that goes most of the way up to the top until you get to the gate. There is a turn off before the gate that's been torn up a little due to use but it's a neat spot to get up high. Mountain bikers use it pretty often in the summer. It's only 400ft or so higher than the surrounding area. Long Butte is the hill to the West off the highway between Bend and Redmond.

Ah ok, I'm thinking of Long Butte. I found my way out there a couple years ago, good views from up there

Anyone in Bend interested in my sleeping platform for a 6' bed? I just picked up a CVT and would like to get the weight out of the bed. I made it myself, carpeted removable two piece platform and 4" foam mattress. I can get you more pictures if your interested.
