I have the 2.7, what year? Pre 2000ish they used a waste spark system that can cause a backfire of sorts. But try cleaning your throttle body out and cleaning your air filter as well.

Cranked up the 5100s today at school for almost 1/2 inch of extra lift to level her out a little. Did the alignment myself and got it almost perfect. I'm happy with it but my instructors told me I was getting close to maxing out my ball joints so I can't go any higher just yet :( no biggie though.

Also got my exhaust all done. Including 2 new o2 sensors and all new gaskets.

Honestly it's fun to have some noise that sounds good, but it's a little loud for me. The power increased paired with the new header blows my mind. I didn't think there would be this much increase in torque. Power all through 5k, before after about 2500 RPM she would just make noise and not move. Now I can actually get going. It's nice but I May invest in a resonator to tone it down a little.

Next up on the list is to sandblast my new to me valve cover at school, paint it, then install with a new Gasket Kit. I may check my Valve Clearance while I'm in there. Shim and Bucket can be a pain to do though. Hoping to Install a new extended rear brake line to. Also need to install my new Shifter Bushing and The ball that goes on the bottom of the shifter. Ordered new ones from Marlin Crawler hoping to clean up the shifts a little.

Swapped out the all pros today for the dakars. Such an easy task.
Used the FJ for music. Whoohoo.

kinda sounds like a cylinder misfire. dose the RPM drop when it "pops". if it does, it sounds like a vacuum leak.

If the ones from homedepot are expensive, can't imagine the price on those in a nice case o_O
