    Hey all,

Are there any companies offering a console vault for the 2016 Taco?

He's suppose to be getting a console from the plant to do some testing. No time frame on when they will be available right now though.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger and get one. I have seen them on other vehicles and they are top notch. I'll post pics of install when I get it.

This will be my third console vault and I can vouch that it's a quality product.

Anyone get their console vault installed yet. I was curious as to how people are getting the console lid apart to get to the hinge to take it off. I removed all the screws (I believe it was six plus the 2 for the latch) and couldn't get the top and bottom halves to separate.

Original console lid removal? No lid removal.Just open the console all the way, tilt the vault towards the front of vehicle and side it in.Bolt it down and you're done.Literally less then 5 minutes.

image.jpg image.jpg Ok so here goes the fit of a console vault in a 2016 TRD sport double cab.

First thing to do is remove two bolts (10mm) from inside center console. Then tilt the vault forward and fit it in. It takes some pressure to get it in. I really had to force or in order to make it go all the way down. It it's not flush the console lid won't properly latch.

Next, replace the bolts provided (longer than the ones that were removed). Make sure your seats are all the way back so they don't hit the center console and cause the holes to not align (I learned the hard way).

That's it. Took about 20 min total. image.jpgimage.jpg
