I have a set of super bumps when I put them on I had 4" from the top of the bump to the stop on the frame. The I measured the amount of shaft sticking out of the shock and that came to 2 3/4". So I have to raise the bump up at least 1 1/4" correct. I raised it 1 1/2" to be sure. But it looks like shit. I just took 1/4" plates and cut them and stacked them between the rubber bump and the mount the bump sits on. I'm planning on maybe getting a 2" steel pipe coupler from work and putting it between the bump and the mount with a big grade 8 washer between the bump and pipe coupler. Just wondering if I'm setting it up right and how you guys extended them. Thanks

Have you cycled the suspension to see how it works? The Superbumps crush down about 1/4" more than the stock bumps. Just because you have a certain amount of shock shaft showing doesn't mean thats how much you have until bump, unless the bumps were directly at the shock mount.

No I haven't. Shit. That's true I never thought of that. I figured they would compress a little but was not sure how to tell how much. What's the best way to "cycle" the suspension. I was thinking of just jacking up on my slider but idk.

Ehhh, remove your coils, jack the suspension up and see where your shocks stops at and where the bump is at. Add spacers to bump if needed. Shouldn't need more than a 1/4" spacer...never heard of anyone using more than that. I think Wheeers sells a 1/4" and 1/8"

Please don't say take the leafs off and use a jack raise and lower the axle to see. It would work. But will be a pita. Haha. Any other way?

Eh, I mean yeah you'd need to do that too to do a proper check. Or just go flex out the truck somewhere and see where you bump at and where your shock shafts are at. if your bumps aren't squished and you have no shock shaft, you need more shock. TBH the stock shock locations are not nearly long enough/tall enough to get the proper flex/travel out of the stock leafs, let alone upgraded leafs. Never messed with the rear Superbumps though

 Unless you are flying through the desert and hitting stuff super hard, you probably won't be slamming your shocks too badly. Or hitting bump hard enough to damage the shock.

Yeah. It's just I have Dakar leafs in the rear with a shackle flip running fox 2.0 r/r 12" shocks. They were not cheap so I'd like to save them as best I can. Haha. Well till winter I hear they can't handle winters very well.

Ooooooo BAMF rear shock relocation? Where is your shock axle mount set at? IE level with the axle or below or above? Shackle flip shouldn't effect bump, but will effect flex a bit.

How are you fitting 12" shocks then? Crazy big lifted Dakars? There's your problem, you stuffed way to big shocks in there, so they are too long to hit bump lol

If you have 12" shocks, look at the BAMF rear shock relocation. They were designed for 12" shocks and you can pretty much run whatever leaf you want short of long travel stuff

I had the adjustable shackles set on the lowest lift setting and it sat like this. image.jpgBut I didn't like it so I swapped stock shackles in.
