    Hey y'all!

My name is Jason, and I live in Colorado. I decided that it was long past time to move from lurker to active poster!

So in a nutshell, after a lot of upheaval in my life, I decided that I had not been living my life the way that I wanted. A huge part of that is the fact that I consider myself an outdoorsman, and yet I hadn't been living like it. I didn't even own a truck anymore. Which led me to my baby...

Even though I already own a pretty sweet 1971 Jeep CJ5, I wanted something that was able to not only run trails, but get me to the trailhead safely (highway driving is downright scary in my Jeep). So a Tacoma was a no-brainer. I've always liked the 1st gens, and when I found a 2002 TRD Off Road with 55,000 miles on it, I jumped on it. I couldn't be happier.

The sole focus is to get her set up as an expedition platform as soon as possible. I've got the money to get into a pretty nice mid travel lift, a 2" body lift, wheels and tires, lower gears, a bed rack and a roof top tent. Right after that will be bumpers, skids and sliders. Maybe a crawler box and a supercharger waaaay down the road.

Anyway, this site has been a huge help to me, and hopefully I can give back at some point! Thanks to all of you guys!

    Jason

P.S. Hear are a few pics of the truck on a trip last September.

I'm in the Denver-Boulder area, Westminster, specifically. Not far from you, it looks like!

Welcome. That mill along the Mosquito Pass trail? Looks familiar.

Thanks! I love it here. I'm from Southern Utah originally, which is pretty badass on its own. But the mountains here are just unreal.

Yeah, buddy! That exactly right! The mine was about as close to the pass as I could get. The road beyond there was too much for my stock truck...

Hey there fellow Coloradans. I'm a bit north of you, Johnstown. Once the good trails start opening up.... May/June(ish) I plan to start tackling some of them.
It would be nice to have some other taco owners along if anyone is interested.
I'll probably start with Old Flowers and some other trails around there and work my way up to some of the more difficult rated trails/passes.
