    Since wiring up my new AOB switch for my "reverse camera anytime" mod, I've noticed the upper light comes on once I turn my IGN to the ON position. At first I didn't think anything of it as the circuit is otherwise working as expected. But it occurred to me that when I start wiring up the other switches I bought to full time 12v, these lights will be on all the time. So I checked the AOB website and sure enough, that upper light is only supposed to come on when the switch is pressed in.

    So my question(s), anyone else experience this? Thoughts on what it could be? Because this is a SPST switch, and the circuit requires a SPDT, I had to use a relay. My diagram is below.

    I've emailed AOB, but for now I'm stumped.

    Thanks in advance.

    Never mind. I'm a moron who can't follow his own wiring diagram.

    If you put noise somewhere in the title no one will notice.

    Maybe someone will learn from my mistake.

    And hey, if anyone is curious or perhaps you view this as more of a "feature" than a "bug" this will happen when you flip the RED and GREEN wired of an AOB switch.

    So AIRONBOARD.com charges $28 per switch and a flat $6.50 to ship. TIL, that CH4X4 sells the same switch bodies, with the same wiring connectors and diagrams and i'd bet the same internals for 19.98 and free shipping. They don't have the exact same designs as AOB, but very similar.

    So, if you burn up a switch because you were stupid and didn't remove power before routing wires through the frame rails, AOB doesn't sell just the internals:sorry:. Your better off ordering from CH4x4 and I'm guessing even swapping the internals. Wish I had known that BEFORE spending $146.50 on switches that would have cost me just $99.

    Well shoot. Could have saved some dollars. Took some time to figure out which wires to tap to get them to dim with the dash lights, but working fine now.
    On the black HVAC connector, tap the solid green wire (+) and connect to the blue wire from your switch.
    On the black HVAC connector, tap the green wire with white trace (-) and connect to the black wire from your switch.

    Yup! Mine are connected that way as well. On the left hand side switches, I tapped into the same color wires going to the fog light switch;

    You non-OR guys have all the fun! We only get two blanks. What are you saving that last spot for? Very nicely done.

    Good question, i'm saving it for this;

    AD6DAD61-DCD1-41E7-8B10-A37098FFED33-250_5caa6f3ecfadce5939420fd46b519a59ee31a301.jpg

    which will control this;

    Once I figure out how to do the rest of it. I only have the bracket mocked up for now, got to go back and figure out the cables and regulator situation.
