Any decent off road suspension set up all the way around is going to cost you 3k. A winch will be 500. A locker with compressor lines and install is probably gunna run you about 1500 I think. And tires are like 800 for a decent pair don't go full name brand can find good mud terrains for pretty cheap on off brand

3k damn what suspension setups are you looking at haha. Do you think I should put on sliders? I'm not really worried about denting about the truck but if I get bigger tires sliders are pretty much need to use a hi-lift jack right?

Was thinking of Bilsteins, maybe old man emus? I dont mind a bumpy ride at all, I just need a suspension that can clear bigger tires? So sliders are a for sure?

Sliders are almost a must. They protect the truck from ass holes and their swinging doors. It protects from rocks. It can be used as a step. And can be used as a jack point. And yes 3k for suspension. A good mid travel set will lift you 3 inches and give you about 12 inches of travel all the way around your truck with new uca's and a new leaf pack you'll be all set to mob at a faster pace and soak up alot I've seen mid travel at work like launching through shit

Pshh a step, I like not having a step. Whenver I date short girls I have to help them into my truck :D:cool:;). I don't know if I would want a mid-travel setup, also really wouldnt be within my immediate budget. Maybe further down the line....... I'm not currently looking to mob threw the desert like you are but I do want to make my truck much more capable for trails and the dunes (which I defiantly will return to Ocotillo was amazing).

Yea you only wanna do your suspension once or else your going to hate yourself so I'd save for it. It will make your truck just about as capable as you need it to be trust me. So for now if you need mods I'd do sliders first, front bumper second, save for suspension, then winch last. But I'm not a winch guy I won't own one if I know I'm going somewhere kinda sketchy my buddy has a jeep with a winch he can winch me out lol

Locker last. Front bumper second to save your front end from damage and actually give you more enter and exit clearance when out mobbing around so you don't smash your front end. And you want your bumper before your winch usually so your winch has somewhere to go.

The only time I have ever gotten stuck and need a tow out I would have been able to get out of if I had a rear locker, so yes

Not necessarily locker doesn't always help if your stuck that's not what they are designed for. Lockers are designed to make sure not one rear tire spins faster than the other. So when you crawl both tires spin at same speed to help you get over obstacles. In some cases a locker will help you get unstuck but not always and could actually make it worse depending on circumstances. Being 2wd getting stuck is part of the game it's how you get yourself unstuck that makes you a true off roader

Well the issue at the time was that one tire was off the ground so that tire was spinning and the other wasn't so I couldnt really move. If I had a locker I would've been able to drive out no problem but life happens you know. I know it doesnt always help but in that situation it would've

Nick, bro, sliders are a MUST when it comes to shell body contact... and I'm talking about mainly underneath the door part areas!!! @ODNAREM got VERY LUCKY and he knows this!!! When I saw those pictures from that Cleghorn trip that you guys took and I saw Ron's predicament my VERRRRY FIRST thoughts were, "ohhhhh, FUUUUU--, I hope it didn't damage it too much!!!" If it damages THAT part of the door/floorboard shell a bit too much (pinched up realllllly badly) you would be VERY HARD PRESSED to being able to open your door let alone being able to close the F'N thing!!! I honestly don't know if you realize this aspect for sliders? So just to inform you IF you don't bro!!! I waaaaaaant to put sliders on eventually, but honestly, I don't want weldons. Personally, I want bolt-ons for those just in case purposes, for whatEVER reason I want/need to take them off!!!??? Just don't know if I want to drill holes in my frame at the moment?! Right now, I'm in no hurry to get sliders, but situations like Ron... scare the SHI- outta me!!!
