RTIC is the way to go. F*** Yeti and their overpriced...everything! From what I've found all of the RTIC products are just as good, if not better, than Yeti for 50% the price. They even came out with the spill proof lid before Yeti (and I don't think Yeti even has one out yet). I'm totally willing to spend the money for the quality of RTIC, will never spend money on a Yeti product.

Many people have talked about receiving their Yeti cups as a gift, so when you see them carrying one and think they are "dissatisfaction or emptiness..." You are completely missing out that some of these people are loved, cared about or even adored enough to receive a gift. In most cases, the gift giver saw the Yeti cups at Bass, Cabela's or REI and thought that for the price it has to be the best (plus they may have remembered seeing that name before). So they wanted to buy the best for someone they care about.

Judging a book by it's cover is a dangerous game. You sir, are a racist against Yeti owners. Please go stand in the corner until you realize their is more to people than just the name on their cup or cooler.

FYI-I don't own a Yeti cup or any of the others mentioned. I am looking into them, but can't justify buying another cup. Although, I think the spill proof coffee mug I do have cost more, but it does keep my coffee in the cup and hot when I ride 100 miles in 30s on my bike.

You are on to something with thinking that a lot of them were gifts. I know a few people with them and all were received as gifts.

I'll hop into this discussion. I love my RTIC 30oz. Better than any cup I've ever used. It's so nice to put ice in it at 7am and and 7pm I can still take a drink of ice cold water. I work outside all day long away from an ice source so it's really a game changer to have ice cold water all day, even if it's sat in the truck all day.

I ordered 25 of these cups to give out to customers with my logo on them. Probably one of the best marketing ideas I've done.

Even if it wasn't a gift, is it still something one can use as a judge of character?

This thread definitely went a different direction than I was expecting, anyways, got the yeti 20 for a christmas gift. I'd spent similar money on other travel mugs before, but was excited when I got this due to all the hype I'd heard. This(assuming the RTIC and others are as well) is a great cup, love how long it keeps ice, and I love being able to make tea before I leave for work at 1600 and when I first have a chance to take a sip about 2000 it is still a tad too hot for my taste and I can milk it until 2300 usually. It doesn't seem to do as good with hot as it does cold, which I attribute to the lid, and that is my only complaint about this cup. A more spill proof lid, and it would keep the temps in even better.

Overall though, very impressed with this cup.

I love my 30oz YETI. Its used daily for ice water, either at my desk or at my night stand. Gotta love waking up in the middle of the night with cotton mouth and drinking water so cold it makes you cry. Fantastic cups, but overpriced.

I do hate the rubber inserts in the front cup holders. If my 30oz is full, it will just roll out on turns.

Does it fit in the center console cup holder behind the shifter?

This is where I had mine, and my wife's made. The owner of the shop is based in Houston I believe, and she is really great to deal with. Made the cups with the quickness, and veeeerrry high quality too.

I recommend if you put a logo on it, to get the clearcoat so it protects the powdercoat and the logo.

    Oh, no.
I can buy a Yeti mug and powdercoat it, but clear coat takes it too far. It might indicate something is missing from my life ;)

I may need to get me a Packer one though, because you know, football can never be taken too far. Ever.

My wife got me both for Fathers day and I regularly use both. The 20 is my dedicated coffee cup and the 30 is for cold stuff. Usually by the bed with ice water in it.
