    1. Turn on the charger.

    2. Phone on charging pad.

    3. Move it around some to find the sweet spot.

    4. Start over with taking off the silly thick case.

    5. Repeat steps 1 through 3.

    6. Does your phone even have wireless charging? (I don't Samsung)

Galaxy s5 doesn't have qi wireless charging, you would have to buy a special case.

There is an adapter that goes inside the phone. Just google "wireless charging s5" I have one in my S3 and it works fine.

I bought a case for mine, and already quit using it. On a one hour drive, it charges my phone up 10%. Thats horrible!

That's surprising, it charges my Galaxy S6 fairly quickly.

It charged my Nexus 6 rather quickly, at least until the day I left it on the bed rail while buckling my kid in and drove off with it still there, eventually losing it in the middle of the highway and then it being driven over a few times before I realized what happened and came back to find the grizzly remains.

It chargers my S7 pretty quickly too. The S7 has an always on display which works perfect with where the phone sits.

You need a wireless charging back cover for an S5, AMAZON

My wife has an S4 I bought a wireless charging back for.

I bought a Note 5 .didn't charge on any of my wireless pads. I then bought the S6 which worked but I wanted a larger screen. Sold the Note and S6 bought a LG V10. Everything worked but messaging on Entune so I sold it

I just bought a Galaxy S7 Edge which works on the Qi Charger and delivers my messages though the Entune System.

The device dictates the speed of the charge as the Qi platform is pretty universal on the charger side. New devices are high speed Qi capable like the S7 and Nexus line.

Anyone have their phones overheat due to the wireless charging? I bought a "nillkin" brand case for my iPhone 6 plus which came with a pad for home. Worked great on the pad, worked great in the truck. one day, in the truck, i noticed that the phone kept on cycling between charging and not. Found that the phone and charge pad were HOT! I think the phone is fried. since then, the phone/case only charges in certain combinations. In the truck and with the qi pad and case, or with aftermarket cables (the Amazon basics cable) with or without the Apple outlet adapter. A brand new apple adapter and stock cable do not work. The case is supposed to have a max output of 5v-1A which is what the iPhone is supposed to take. case linked below.

    -any thoughts?

I am having the same issue with my 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport. When I use the iQ charging station it overheats both phones I have tried.
In is in service today and we will see what they have to say about it...will keep you posted.
Have you solved your problem yet?

I have the 17 TRD off road and a note 8. Same issue. After 20 min or so, light blinks and beeps and I have to turn it off and let it cool down. It gets borderline hard to handle with heat and charges very slowly. I have 3 other qi chargers. All charge faster with less heat.

I know, wireless charging was, once again yet ANOTHER advance in technology that Apple failed to address until recently, miles behind (did I mention "again"?)

Callway I think the iPhone x and iPhone 8 have qi Charging capability but if you're iPhone is more than a year old it probably doesn't have it.
