Hmm gotta be a better way to mount that fog, maybe slip the bumper mount through the fog light bracket to lower it down :notsure:

    My baddd

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Nice! If you go wheel sunday let me know, I planned on shooting with the lady sunday but if the weather isn't nice then she probably won't want to go and I can go wheel instead

I'll have to futz with the fog lights tomorrow before installing..the lenses are located 100% in the hole so that the light will still come through and disperse but I just hate how it looks :pout:

I have to run and pick up some items before this thing can be installed and I think I have figured out how I will be mounting my license plate for now. Can't justify $100 for the one Pelfreybilt sells at the moment..probably once I get a winch, I will spend the money but for now, bolts and 3M tape will have to do..

I just picked up the ONLY fair lead I have ever wanted to run on my front bumper:

And I will be sure to let you know about Sunday..right now, I might be heading up to the lake to help the fiancee's brother out and take care of some things there around the house and perhaps help him work on his Heep o'sheet and getting it ready for April 1st-3rd :puke:

I think @GARSHA91 is still interested in going? :notsure: He's helping me tomorrow with the bumper and is pretty stoked on helping me but I know he has a few things he wants to work on for his rig as well..gonna be a mini mod day at his house haha

I meant to show you where Pelfreybilt has pre drilled holes on the bumper now for a license plate. It's basically the surface area below the winch area, I didn't even notice it until I had the bumper on and by that time it was too late because the backside is only accessible when the bumper is off.

Haha that fair lead is awesome. Just let me know whenever about Sunday, if not its all good

If you want to change up the fog mounting it wouldn't take but a few minutes...send your brother down with it Saturday lol

And nice fairlead, lol. The old pirate salute, they started making those for some pirate guys a while back, nice choice. I have a new one on the way too :spy:

Isn't there holes in the bumper for the license plate? I'd be shocked if not.. If I were you I'd drill 2 small holes for it. Cheapest/cleanest IMO.

I didn't know that. I will have to look but I was prepared to drill regardless.

:D I will probably install them for now and work on a solution.

There was no way I was going with any other fairlead once I saw the Poly Performance one. I just need to decide on a winch now but, not in a rush. I was thinking a badlands 12000 lb but I would want to swap out the cable for synthetic line..not sure if that's something that can be done or not.

That's what Chandler was saying. I'll have to look again but I was already planning on drill anyways..

I'll check tonight. I know that's where most people mount them but most I have found use the double sided trim tape. I would much rather have bolts since I would be worried about the plate flying off on the highway..

Yeah his is bolted on, I can't believe they wouldn't put holes for it.

I put my license plate on with 4 half inch self tapping sheet metal screws. Its on there good. Even rammed it into a few rocks.

I know..most states these are going to don't require front plates so it's fine. Should have them available regardless on every one.

That was the route I initially wanted to go. I think this will be my fail safe should the holes not be there. Glad to know it will hold up

Had that same issue with my previous set of fogs. Not sure how yours mount, but i was able to mount them under the bumper bracket rather than sitting on top of the bracket and might have to add somenwashers to space it out. Which bought them down and aligned them better with the cutouts. Also you might run into a issue with the front support the runs right there on your truck. I think pelfreybilt says to trim a little in the install instructions(cant remember), but a little bending did the trick for me. Good luck. Can try to snap pics if ya need

Truck is going to look great with that bumper!

The bumper used to be "optioned" license plate holes was something I didn't want because I don't run a front plate anyways. Now my new bumper they are made with all the options to include license plate holes

Yeah its supposed to be mounted like the picture he posted, and the bolts would be accessible through the area below the winch tray, but really you could just put it wherever you want lol

I think I'm gonna with the location shown in the post above. It's clean and out of the way for the most part.

Heard back from Poly Performance about the fairlead and they are still 3-4 weeks out on having the black fairleads in stock. So, I went with the polished aluminum and I will eventually get it PC'd all black. The one from Poly is still polished in some areas and this way I can have a true all black fairlead :D

Tomorrow morning I will be running all over the place getting what I need for the install at @GARSHA91 's mini mod day he is hosting
