I'd say atleast 25% brighter, much cleaner look, too. The license plate lights aren't obnoxiously bright either so it works well for me. Definitely worth the $20.

Get off of the fence and make the change. You will be glad you did.

I just replaced all of my interior lights with the Amazon kit. That was easy. Took me about 5 minutes.

Just attempted to do the license plate lights. My hands are too big. Trailer towing package on mine. Almost seems like it would be easier to pull the whole bumper off to get to them!

And now, I think I want to do all of the rear lights in LED's...tail, brake and turn signal. Does putting LED's in the turn signals cause it to fast flash because of the lowered impedance? (I have them on my motorcycle and they cause this...)

I'm not sure about the third gens in particular but on previous vehicles I've just replaced the flasher with one made for LED bulbs

Yes!! This is the way to do it. Pull the whole console out....pops out and pops back in no problem. I struggled getting that goddamn bulb out for quite a while...unsuccessfully I might add. Pulling down the whole console took literally 2 minutes. All interior bulbs in place....will tackle the license plate bulbs tomorrow.

Popping out the lights as described earlier is the best, and easiest way to go.

Replaced all the interior lights today with the bulbs off Amazon, looks great in the daylight will have to see once the sun sets. Briefly looked at the license plate lights and decided to wait until tomorrow to do those. Looks like a pain

For the license plate lights, I used a 10mm wrench to loosen the bulb housing. Just make sure you are square when you turn it.

I used some scotch tape that seemed more like packing tape & it pulled the map bulbs out easily.

    Great mod!

de-badged, tint front windows, led interior lights, door sill protectors, led b/up lights, 5" factory step rails, yellow turn signal bulbs, added 4 D ring tie downs. Took off the black vinyl stripes between the doors. Changed the grill - from Custom Car Grills, Finally got a tonneau cover put on. 31" light bar ( white & amber ), tailgate light bar, sunvisor covers ( to hide warning labels ), new bedside decals - still too cold to put them on tho. Flag decals to go on too, again too cold still. Got a 2 switch, switch plate to replace that useless cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel.. still to be installed ( hopefully this weekend ). Upgraded the tires to G/Y Duratracs... loving them, no plowing the driveway !!
Did you ever find out what the reverse bulbs are ??
    thanks Rick

I have to give a BIG thanks to all you guys for the help. I had a super big problem getting the map lights out. Searched here and saw the duct tape method and it worked flawlessly. Thanks again for the help TW!

ARE cx shell with windoors, carpeted sleeping platform, red LED map lights, LED vanity lights, tailgate vinyl inserts, glove box vinyl inserts, dog ramp, blacked front grill and white emblem, blacked badges, debadged tailgate.
Swapped out the map and vanity lights today, but I'm having problems with the dome light. Is this the correct light for a trd sport. Thanks for the help
