Gracias! My first truck at 16 was a manual and after spending the last 17 years driving boring auto's, I couldn't image getting anything other than a manual! I had to wait 5 months for this truck, but totally worth the wait! I love driving it everyday.

Thanks! My wife and I moved from Costa Mesa, CA, for my work. I accepted a position as a Project Manager for a local federal construction contractor. I'm originally from Dallas, but have been on the move since college between Virginia, New Mexico, back to Texas and most recently California. We settled in south OKC, off of 12th, between Western and Santa Fe - right in the path of the tornado's!

I just found this thread. Another Okie here that joined in November after getting my trd sport 4x4 11/7/15. Hola to all of my Sooner and Cowboy brothers!

Sounds like we have a lot in common. My 1st truck was a 90 toyota r22 5 speed. Loved it. Would have loved a manual but my wife got butt hurt saying she might want to drive it..so here we are with an auto.

I grew up in the Riverside ca area. Military moved me out here in 99. My wife is from south side so we ended up on sw 134th and penn. So we may run into each other. I've only seen a couple 16's running around.

When you get bored of that hood let me know. I'll swap you out for a trd or version lol

Welcome to the okie area. We may have to get a taco, taco meet up some time. Tacoville maybe? Sounds appropriate lol

Yeah, I got the same compliant from my wife. I was stubborn and didn't relent. So the extra money we "saved" getting a manual is going to another purse, shoes, etc.

I'll keep an eye out for you and Soonertaco. Looks like we all have very similar-looking trucks.

If you all plan a meet-up at Tacoville, count me in!

I bought that in October for my wife. I personally would have gone with a smaller tire/Wheel set up. But for a mall crawler it gets to job done

If you see her driving,go the other way. She likes to run stuff over

Any of you got anything fun going on this weekend? Weather kinda sucks. My wife left for the night. 1st time in 12 years. I think I'm going to have a detail session once the kid goes to sleep. Then going to seseme street live tomorrow. Then back to work sat night. Fun times over here

Thinking about going for a short hike down at turner falls tomorrow morning followed by a trip to redneck off road heaven or maybe arbuckle off road park. I'd love for some folks to come with!

Then headed over to some place at 23rd and sooner to check out some trails Sunday with some guys from on-torc. Probably mostly mud but it's close enough and my truck will need a bath anyways.

Anybody been any of these places before?
    Any on-torc members here?

Running errands tomorrow and then date night with the wife tomorrow night. Probably relaxing and cleaning the truck on Sunday.

With the wife out of town, sounds like you should be at the lake fishing or somewhere in the woods camping!

Would be nice but I have a 4 year old with some health issues. Makes anything out doors a challenge. I'm hoping he will grow out of it. In the mean time he had a LOT of docs apt coming up.

In the mean time he's watching fast and furious (He's into anything racing). We may call big chief up and go by the shop in the am. He's been wanting to go see his new car for a few weeks. Took him to go see Varleys car after he got it painted

I'm sorry to hear that, I hope he grows out of it as well. Yeah, I overlooked your previous comment about having a kid. My wife and I aren't at that stage yet, so I'm a little more free to take off if she's out of town. I'm sure that will change soon, so I need to get in all that I can before that happens!
