Cris, Gadget,Anybody that did the installation by him self. I need your word of wisdom guys.

I got the charger Yesterday (Thursday) and I was scheduled at the dealer to get it installed today-Friday. They call me at 9 am to tell me that the only guy that knows how to install is sick and it won't be back till next Tuesday.I had to get it back. Now, I got couples hours and read very carefully the instructions the charger comes with. I really don't see any problems or issues why I would not be able to do the installation by my self. Frankly, only thing you need is some extra coolant, a little bit of grease and some good old common sense. Really, everything is there with very clear pics. I am going to the dealer to get some (SPECIAL-pink ) coolant and the rest, if I need anything else I can get it anytime at any local auto shop. If I start saturday morning I should be finished by Sunday night. This will save me aprox $850. I decided that I will do it but I have a little problem.

?? will I damage anything if -after I do the installation I have to drive the truck approx 6 miles to dealer to do the re-flash ???.

    Thank you, thank you- Cris.

For $850 I can eat some grease and at the end the satisfaction that I installed by myself will make up for the rest

I did not get the 7th injector. The new charger comes with larger injectors and unless you planing to get some serious HP out, I don't think that you need the 7th. I paid ($3800 shipped- main assembly +installation kit) from Trdparts4u and i will have to fork some extra $ for the re-flash. You may have some guys , here that disagree with me.

Will take some pics with engine open. Maybe it will inspire more guys.

Yes, I did took some pics during the work also.

Cris, I need yor help again or anybody that knows more then me. I can't make that crankshaft pulley to move. I went in the morning to Auto Parts but no one seems to have that tool for rent. Is there another way to block the engine from turning.
I have a motorcycle and when ever I want to adjust the valves I can block the motor with a pin. Anything like this is possible on our trucks ??? Thank you guys.

You need to make a pully holder. Use a peice of Flat iron, and drill 2 holes in it, put 2 bolts in the hols, and use it to hold the pully still. The bolt is on VERY tight. I think there might be pics of what you need to make on TTORA.com....but Im not sure where to find them...

When I installed mine I used an impact gun to take the bolt off. Now came time to install the new pulley and bolt I used a strap wrench to hold the crank from turning while I torqued the bolt down. The crank is the only part that would pose a problem for you.

I tried every thing I could but no results. I saw at least 10 stores and no one an electric impact gun. They are all air activated. I going to get one from work Monday. I did installed all most everything except the belts and the radiator. O well couple hours Monday night. Here are couple pics.

#1 -pic of oem set up. I remove the cover and ready to start
#2-Air box and distribution head removed. The tape in the middle a must.
#3-pic of the new injectors (orange babes)
#4- pic of the new air cooling radiator
    #5 supercharger installed
The air filter get replaced also with a TRD one. You can see in the box a little bit of orange.
All together -about 10-11 hours. 3 of them I spend it on the road, trying to find an impact gun.
