How hard was it to run all the wiring and hook everything up? I'm not much of a electrician

That composite bed chips for nothing!!I didn't really took care of my 09 bed, and it was really in bad shape, I carry my dirt bike, the bike straps, hooks, bike stand and ramp, can make bad chips in to the bed specially after riding, when there is sand and metal parts rubbing against the bed. This time I'm not loading my stuff until I get a bed mat.

Yep that could be it. I never really looked up much info on the 3.5 so I dunno what it should take.

Lubed my U-Joints - Yup, they were dry.

Tightened my U-bolts - Yup, they were loose.

Checked Transmission level... 0.8 qt low. Filled it.

Thanks TacomaWorld... Apparently it isn't just Paranoia after all.

Took the truck for a test drive, and it shifts much smoother now. Go figure.

I'm at 2500 miles now. I should have done all this stuff earlier, except it was cold. Yay spring!

It isn't very hard. I used the wiring harness supplied by Cali-Raised. Hardest part was probably getting the switch wire through the rubber firewall grommet. But that was probably just me. Not much "electrician" type stuff. You have to crimp a few connectors, maybe do some heat shrink wrap. But, all and all, very doable.

Did you check the level yourself or take it to the dealer. And if you did it yourself did you just get it up to operating temp put it in park or neutral and then just pull the plug and fill til it began to come out like a diff?

Did it myself. It is really easy. I assumed it would be low, so I added 1.2 qt before I warmed it up (then I wouldn't have to worry about burning myself on the exhaust pipe that runs right by the filler). Put it into temperature control mode by jumping the OBD. Drained any excess through the check hole before it got hot, and then drained it again when the "D" showed up signifying it was at correct temperature. I used Valvoline's "WS" compatible ATF from AutoZone.

Do you have a link to a more detailed write up. How are you "jumping the OBD"

But did you check your differentials? That's the latest in low fluid level.

No... not yet. Ran out of time today. I'm sure they are low too.

I am surprised the Toyota robots can't squirt the appropriate amount of fluid into these trucks.
