ok cool, I was hoping someone did that. Everything I've read on says it needs a relay but the pods are only 18w so I think they'll be fine spliced.

I have 2 pods mounted on a bed bar facing back that work double duty as backup lights and tailgating protection. I ran mine to a dedicated switch so i can turn them on anytime.

My 2004 double cab 4wd. As of now got 16s on it, Weld racing wheels. Got the BFG KO2 265/75/16. Interior wise i bought a new head unit and i have an 8 in MB Quart shallow mount sub along with an Alpine amp. My TRD decals just game in, and I'm currently after the Bilstein 5100 adjustables with rear blocks, as it needs lifted. Also plan on a different grill and different dash lights.

I wanted it as high as possible but with it being a passenger drop and the exhaust, mounting it where it is now was the best option. This still let's the exhaust flow right over the rear bar and through the front hup. It's not ideal but frame height when I'm down will be somewhere between 24-28 inches. Trying to go as low as possible but will also be on 35 in tires. That's still a lot of clearance and all important pieces will have a skid made out of 3/16 or 1/4. Just depends on what we have left over.

And from some rough measurements. I do not think it hangs more than 1.5-2" below the gas tank. Although thay is still a lot, not as much as some.

Is it worth the extra work to make it flat? To some. Wasn't to me with no links or mounts being in the way to get caught on things. With one or two Skids covering from the oil pan to the back of the transfer, the truck should slide right over anything.

I think you should rotate them to about a 30 degree angle if you havent tacked them already! But that's my preference! Are those TG?

I ordered these for my Duramax. I had D2s for fogs in my Tacoma bumper and it would have been way too much light. Id get the flood pattern if I were to do it again though. I ordered spots but they still perform flawlessly.

We estimated my angle when I did it as well using jack stands to hold it in place. Actually worked out decently
