    Hello all,

New to this forum and by the looks of it, AWESOME!

I just brought home a SuperWhite 2016 Tacoma TRD OFF ROAD, 2wd

    IMG_0351.jpg

This is what I am thinking of doing first, parts: 4wheeler here in San Antonio quoted me on the drive out price of $2570.00 thats with including a military discount of 10%.

    Tires

    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Tires/LT...aspx?t_c=13&t_s=536&t_pt=101509&t_pn=BFG99728

    Wheels'

    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/X...=11&t_s=535&t_pt=101508&t_pn=W/PXD81178067710

    3 front 1 rear level

    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Suspensi...ck.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=358&t_pt=9333&t_pn=T/MTM506

    or front level out only

    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Suspensi...l00_ContentPlaceHolder1_pDetail_pdf_Container

What do you think and any opinions on something better from 4wheeler website, let me know!

I was curious if I need to do the 3 n 1 or just get the front leveled out with rear with the 2.25 " leveling kit!

I was thinking of the above so the tires won't stick out past the flares but don't know if they are wide tires, I do like little width on them has well as height, are the above tires with rims give a good height as well as width, I don't want a large space between tire and fender.

Also what is the most popular and recommended between a Level vs lift with leaving the rake in rear look as the picture of mine on the lori!

I am new so just need advice from you pro's here, thanks

I am not a pro but I would like to know why you bought a 2WD and intend to make it look like an off road 4WD truck? What not just buy the 4WD?

Build your own truck like you want. No need to do "what's popular"

I had a 2010 Tundra and It was lifted 3" and love the way it looked, It was a 2wd. I don't do and heady driving off road, I'm sorry I didn't know that I wasn't allowed to buy a $30 plus G truck and do what I like to it! Has any one in the world ever done anything like I want to do, if not maybe I should drive it off a cliff and then take a hammer to my head for doing such a stupid thing as buying my first Tacoma, the one model and style I liked but didn't really want the 4wd!

I might sound a little sarcastic but WTF, I cant ask a question without getting a lecture! :ohsnap::stayontopic::rockband::crapstorm::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::help:

    Really

No................ you sound a little silly. You can do whatever silly thing to your truck you want to without the comunity commenting unless of course all you wanted was to be stroked a bit and given permission to put "what's popular" in or on your truck
Sue me. I think 2WDs that are made to look like they are 4WDs are a tad silly.

    Carry On.

    Welcome,

You can't say that you have an Off-Road that is 2wd. That's asking for trouble in this forum.

My opinion, that config was my second choice instead of my TRD sport DCLB. If people don't want
the scoop and want premium features, get the the Off-Road. Nothing a can of matching spray paint
can't fix on those Tupperware wheel fenders. Plus, you get a rear locker for "free" which 95% of
Off-Road owners never use anyway. Esp. in warm states like California and Florida... and the 75%
of the year where it's not snowing or raining.

Congrats OP. Welcome to the Tacoma cult.

There are plenty of 2wd off road vehicles with, Big Name drivers that race them for factor teams.

    Nice truck............Anyways

Hope you live close to me so I , maybe can buy your stock wheels for a good price from you.

    Congrats on your new Taco

I have to agree with another comment, it`s your truck, do what you want to your truck.

I made a few changes to my truck to suit me, I could care less what others think about.

People on here could care less that I think wheels that look they have been painted with a can of black spray paint are ugly, it`s their truck and as long as they like it that`s really all that matters.

Do what makes YOU happy to your truck.

Great looking truck. No reason to buy a 4wd if you won't, or don't need 4wd. I like the style you're going for...white with blacked out wheels. Looks good...

Rock on Bro, a lot of 2wd owners lift their trucks for looks and a bit of clearance while off road, while you not buying any performance here with the exception of your tires it should look pretty damn nice...go for it...enjoy and post some pics to let us all admire the outcome...

Nice job OP, you realized you had no use for a 4wd and bought what suites you. Unlike some other penis enlarging peeps that buy 4wd just to say they have it and boast about it like it is some macho bragging argument at their suburban southern Starbucks all the while never using it. Good on you, save money in many areas (purchase, maintenance, insurance, gas, wear and tear, ect). Also, most others on here would be hard pressed to even know it wasn't 4wd without the sticker, let alone pretty much all the general public.

Post some pics once you are done, always like the black and white themes.

    Thanks bud.

They told me the rubbermaid fenders and the rear locker's where an add-on's and they said the fenders had stealth material so that police radar would not penetrate the vehicle, so I got a steal and only paid $5,768.00 just for those, that wasn't to much was it!

Also they said the TRD Off Road decals automatically make the vehicle go into four wheel drive if I rub them a few times, then get in the truck and rub one out, then it automatically goes into 4wd!

So total off the lot drive out price was, $78,980.00 after tax!

By the way Jame-Bond this is not meant for you but for negative Nancy, my OTP was $31,329.00 And after the $17,500 cash I put down brought it to $13829.00, and with that said, I'm 54 and my balls sag so much I need the extra clearance to swing them in the truck before I get in :bananadance::ballchain:! So as for cool or whats popular, been there done and I don't need to look cool or do whats popular, I just want it to look great so I can enjoy it and be able to look back at and say, WOW that's mine and yes, it is bad ass at that!
