Don't need it. I enjoy the air ride in my loader so I just started looking around. Plus I figure it's a better topic then relationships.....

Im short so it would work for me in the cab but for taller people I see how it would be an issue.

Yeah it would prolly not work for the taller people. Could be nice though, might be a little awkward when romping the LT though.

Yeah I was thinking it might make the ride worse. Also looking into a better foam seat that might ride better. I don't know. I'm just searching the web and looking at ideas.

Air ride may "feel" better than a rigid seat but studies have shown they actually increase the magnitude of forces exerted on your back.

"has been the best made vehicle we have ever owned." For less than six months? I'm not sure exactly what that says, but either way o_O.

Preface with standard disclaimer of mountain roads can change/deteriorate drastically in a very short time, but you should be fine. If you're starting from the Lake City side, you're just doing Engineer and Cinnamon which will be fine stock. There's a spur off the east side of Cinnamon into American Basin you should take, and do the short hike up to Sloan's Lake. You can also drop down and stop at the townsite of Animas Forks between Eng and Cin (you can see it from the junction, and there's another short loop on the other side of it), or all the way down into Silverton and maybe see the train come in.

There are several trails/passes in the area (even just talking between 149 and 550, never mind west of 550) and of the ones I know of only two that may or would give stock vehicles trouble. Those being Poughkeepsie Gulch which has an obstacle, and Mineral Creek (runs from Engineer toward Ouray) which I've done in the past in a stock Chevy 1500, but haven't been on in a long while and keep getting warned about as 'it has gotten much worse'.

I guess if they've always had a junker then it would be the best vehicle they have ever owned haha.

My guess is something financially came up

Excellent, thank you. I am pretty competent off-road but we're talking this being the worst that Oklahoma can throw which is soft red dirt and steep inclines with maybe some big tree roots thrown in the mix. But, mountain roads would be a whole new animal. I've heard people say "if they will rent Jeeps to tourists, then you can tackle it in a Taco." however these people haven't been to Lake City in 20 years.
