    This is me 100%...

But, in case you really don't know, the site does not condone political convo, hating on others due to race, religion or sexual orientation (and some other shit).

While, I am a true conservative my own beliefs do not permit me to tell others how to live or judge them unless their behavior actually impacts me...why would I when I expect the same treatment.

I have ceased..only allowable speak from now on from me.

    Back to thread topic.

Yes I could have gotten a GM truck but I had no idea the Toyota would scratch so easily. It seems intentional to make the truck feel aged after a few uses. I had an e90 3 Series, and the plastic did not seem so frail around high traffic touch points.

I did like the build quality of my recently departed BMW but, never warmed up to the key fob.

IMO, they are amazing when everything is working...really one of the best brands I've driven. And I think the build quality is great in terms of materials, fit and finish. In my experience that didn't relate to reliability.

May get off with nothing or a warning. He did say he wasn't aware of the COC and offered to change his ways... I vote, he gets a second chance.

e46 cars need radiator/water pump every 60-100k miles. But overall, they are great cars. Window motors were weak, but really overall a solid car. If electrics go bad, it can turn into nightmare, but again that is not the norm on the e46...not the e90 you had.

I didn't drive it often which may have been part of the problem.

I sat in the corner of the barn and I put ~40k on it in the 8 years I owned it...bought it new.

It did shit a knock sensor, 2 front power door lock actuators and the locking actuator on the steering column...none of which were covered by factory warranty. Given the door and steering actuators are/were known issues I'd hoped to get them covered. They were ~$800 for the doors and ~$1,200 for the steering actuators. The ECU took a dump but, was covered.

That said, it still drove like a champ.
