    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    If you do replace it, get a rubber gasket. No RTV is required for a rubber gasket.

    I'm sure there would be many members more than willing to help you out in fixing your oil pan. I doubt my wife would let me drive the ~650 miles to offer assistance though ;)
    GL on the fixing. Make sure and get a pic of the dented pan too. Might be easier once you get it off the truck.

    When you pick up your oil pan, just get an OEM gasket also.

    Cute? Are you looking at the same picture I am? The word "Hot" comes to mind in the picture I see !

    There probably isn't a gasket on there now, just a factory sealant. If you get the pan from the dealer, check with the service dept. on the proper sealing procedure.

    It seems that most newer toyotas dont require a gasket for the oil pan or transmission pan. What you should use is a product called "the right stuff" made by permatex. It, im my opinion, is the best gasket maker on the market. Its like silicone and superglue. Works amazing. Cost around $15 for a tube

    How about this story? Today coming back from Clear lake Ca. to San fran. Was raining cats and dogs. In this area with a hill to the right of the road, one stone the size of a football come down the hill right in front of my truck. No time to avoid, and I rolled over it and heard a big bang under the truck. I stop and looked, and oil is leaking on the pavement. I pulled over and after o inspection I've seen a bent and broken oil pan.
    After I called a bunch a tow comp, I decide to fix the problem my self. I was 45 miles away to the closest town, and the cheapest price was $11 per mile with a 45min delay. The oil drained itself out in 4-6 minutes. I took a hitch ride with some guy to the nearest town, got JB weld, 7 quarts of oil and come back. I cleaned the area very good, sand papered the paint around the hole, About the size of 1/16 by 1/8 cut, apply the epoxy and half a hour later added the new oil. In top of the hole repair I put a shop towel and duct taped it as you see in the picture. I had 2 quarts left over in case of some leaks, but was not necessary. The truck rests in front of my home, 140 miles away and still have 2 quarts of oil left. NO LEAKS. Monday I'll get a new oil pan.
    Now how the hell can I atach images. (i have them, this is not joke)
