image.jpg Hey guys can't speak to the black bead locks on the gunmetal gray, but my buddy convinced me to powder coat mine white to match the truck. Still not sure how I feel about them.....thinking they'd look better with 285s

I feel like the problem with the wheels is they are 1" too small. But 285's might help lol.

Thats why I want the 4RTRP wheels. I think the 17's fit the truck much better. Ill need new tires in 2-3 years (at 30K) and will have to decide what wheel tire combo I really want.

Is that about how long these tires last? For some reason I thought the KOs were good for more.......measured the tread yesterday and I've got a whopping 2/32" on the rears. They've also got close to 39k on em.

17's do look nice on these trucks for sure, but I don't want to spend the money on a whole tire/wheel combo so I'm gonna try the bfg ko2 285/75/16 with an AAL in the back and see where I'm at.

Sorry, I meant to say Im currently at 30k. From what Ive read they are good for 40-50k it most instances. Id really like to go with a 32" tire but I don't think they make that size lol. My next step will most likely be 265/75/16.

Id really like to do the new KO's but I feel 10ply is just too much a tire for every day needs.

KO2s are rated for 15% longer life than KOs.

    265/75/R16 or 265/70R17 is effectively a 32" tire.

If you switch to 17s you can run the 265/70R17 KO2s in C-load, which is better than the D-load that comes stock on the Baja/Pro. I switched out my wheels specifically to run the lighter tire.

This might be a really dumb question but.....is a progressive AAL (icon/wheeler, etc..) absolutely needed to get the 285's to clear in the rear on these bajas? I got excited and scheduled an appointment with discount tire tomorrow morning to get new tires. I'm buying an AAL kit tonight, but the tires are happening tomorrow.....

You'll be fine, it won't rub....itl just eat up the space between the top of the tire and fender.

Sweet, lookin forward to it. I can't remember back that far in the thread....but did you take your overloads off? I'm thinking I will and then have them use the factory bolts instead of the ones that come with the kit.

I did take off the over loads. I used the the ubolts that came with the AAL. I'm gonna add the 1" spacer specific to the baja/pro coilovers then I'll put the overloads back in.

What's the purpose of the 1" spacer if you don't mind me asking? That brings the front end up right? I'm super new to all this
