Yeah I had a couple guys following me at one point, and their buddy died apparently trying to follow. When everything was dead I went loot crazy and apparently looted his body and they got pissed and killed me. Fuckers lol

 

Your best bet is to know the closest respawn point, kill and loot them and run the opposite direction.

Haha that's when I went rogue unexpectedly. I didn't know you go rogue if your teammate does, too.

 

Yup, the whole team goes rogue. But, if you don't get killed you get xp for it. The timer comes up in the corner.

I honestly try to avoid going rogue. I'm in the DZ by myself often and it's kind of hard when someone runs in your line of fire. I usually travel around in there running into the same people and may even help clear out some adds. I've found the longer you're in there with the same people they will usually forgive a accidental shot. I went rogue twice today by accident and just held my hands up. They knew it was a accident and (luckily) didn't shoot. Then they did the same to me and I repaid the gesture. The way I look at it is this: If your timer is 8 secs (the minimum amount of time being rogue) then I pretty much know it was an accidental shot. Especially if they don't keep shooting. I generally don't attack someone like that and today I was lucky I wasn't attacked.

Speaking of being attacked... A buddy and I were in there this afternoon and were at the extraction point and these 4 guys came up with no packs. One waved but I told him "they're going to gank us" Right when the rope dropped I popped my big heal (that gives me 80% damage resistance) and 2 of them shot a "sticky bomb" at our feet. I put my stuff on the line and shot a sticky bomb (with blinding flash) and almost got one of them down. Buddy didn't make it but I took off running and ran them through some mobs and got them off my tail. Went back with another group that were hunting them down and killed all of them. If it looks sketchy I'll pop my heal and almost no damage is taken and I can get out alive. I know they were PISSED that 1 person survived 4 trying to kill me. The heal is OP in the DZ.

 

I'm sitting at DZ42 and going rogue right now and not surviving is almost one and a half levels. It's not worth going rogue just for some easily obtainable loot. Surviving rogue isn't that much XP. In the beta I went rogue all the time because I had nothing to lose but now it's a hours worth of grinding to get back to where I was.

Anyone need 300,000 DZ credits? I'll never use them.

 

Ran the dailies and got 3 gold items because of scavenging. 2 were worse than what I have so I just throw them in the chest.

 

Challenge Mode in the Russian Embassy today is a shit show. Got a gold but it honestly took me and two friends 3 hours.

 

Yeah, challenge mode is no joke. I got the dailies but didn't feel like doing the challenge tonight. Crafted a high capacity gold clip for my rifle and now it hits for 130k. I'm good with that.

 

Also bought the gold light machine gun from the advanced armorer and that thing is a fucking beast. Melts the elites in the DZ

 

DZ leveling farming is easy, just buy gear from the vendors and recalibrate it to have increased xp gain. I farmed 34 to 41 super fast last night. Also sitting on like 300k dz funds. When you hit DZ50 you can buy crafting patterns from the safe houses with them.

Also me and 3 friends have Challenge mode Lexington Event Center down to 9minutes 48seconds to complete.

I'd rather have scavenging than xp. I'm almost DZ50 so leveling in DZ isn't too hard and I'd "personally" rather have more loot than xp. I'm like you and have more DZ credits than I know what to do with.

Honestly... the honeymoon is over for me with this game. I've looked forward to this game coming out for over 3 years and this is NOT the game we were promised. There is zero endgame other than DZ and challenge modes. Sure the game is gorgeous but in reality the game is very week when it comes to substance. I'm sure there will be refinements made down the line but as it stands now it's just not that good in the long run. Farming the same mobs in the DZ gets pretty old quick. Dailies that appear at 7pm CST everyday are boring honestly. Challenge mode with bullet sponges isn't really a challenge other than a challenge in patience. This is just "my" perspective but I had such high hopes for this game.

I liken it to Titanfail on the Xbox. I bought a Xbox just for that game. Played in 2 betas and I couldn't get enough. Only 2 maps and it kept me occupied for the entire beta. The game launched and I was so disappointed that I quit after 2 weeks. When you start off with the best gun in the game there is nothing to work for. Maybe the problem is mine? Maybe I set my expectations too high? But... In the end this is not the game we were promised.

 

April update is promising new end game content with gear set loot, and new weapons etc etc etc. So hopefully that will require more then 10minutes of stacking smart cover and pulse for extra damage lol.

 

I was out of the country til the 12th, so I've only been playing for a little over a week. I missed all the massive Phx Credit farming, so I'm still really enjoying the grind to get new HE gear. I think Massive intentionally staggered out some of the content, like not releasing Incursions til April, to give everyone time to grind out to max level.

Between this and Destiny's April Update, I'm going to be inside all spring.

 

If they did that they shouldn't have. We should have gotten the game we were promised from the start. Not just a small portion of it. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the game but it is a shell of it's original debut.

Farmed the DZ again tonight and got some yellows out so it was good. 4 dailies today since I didn't get a chance to do them yesterday. Picked up some yellow knee pads so I'm almost done filling out my character with quality yellows that have the stats I want. Almost 150k dps and my armor is through the roof. I had to go to DZ03 just to get a challenge solo. The lower levels I just wreck shit.

Update for tomorrow should be interesting. If you like the DZ the way it is right now you better get your playtime in tonight. Tomorrow they are lowering the penalty for going rogue so there will be a lot more ganking.

If it's a fucking PoE remake (which I think it is) then I'm out.

 

Big patch went live last night... 1.0.2. I'm excited about how this will change the DZ. Should be a lot more PvP action which was severely mitigated because of the ridiculous risk/non existent reward.
