Hey guys was just wondering if anyone could help me out. Got a 2012 dclb and just purchased 5100s with 884s and want to know if its possible to fit 285s. I really dont mind cutting a little bit of plastic or doin cmc. Plan on getting new rims too, and debating on 16s or 17s. Any info would help and pics if anyone has done it. Thanks

Definitely will require a CMC to do 285's even on a 3" lift.

Just curious... why 884's on a DCLB?

I have a 2.5 inch lift all around. Definitely need a cmc and a little trimming on the front, but not as drastic as I was expecting. Also, you need wheels with a 0 offset to clear the upper control arm.

Cool. Just curiosity got to me. LOL :) The 885's are what OME recommends for the DCSB/DCLB so I figured I'd ask.

I'm in a different boat. I went 887's as I wanted a 3" lift up front - then did Dakar leaf pack in rear for 2.75" rear lift. Levels it out decently.

Then I went and added a crap ton of weight up front. Now I'm putting on 886's this Tuesday.

Sorry if these are questions that have been answered 1,000 times.. but, for CMC, is it absolutely necessary to fit 285's with a lift of 3" or under? Can spacers also fix the clearance issue? Is rusting a concern with the chop? :)

Is it absolutely necessary? No, but you will rub at full lock reverse. Spacers will fix the clearance issue for the control arms with stock wheels, but you'll still need a cmc. Rust shouldn't be a concern with the chop since a piece of metal with be welded over the hole.

I'm running 285s, Billie's up front at full adjustment, and 16x8.5's with 4.5" backspacing. Slight rub on rear of wheel well liner, no CMC needed. Other plastic trimming was needed though. Might be due to the camber adjustment pulling them slightly forward with SPC upper control arms, but so far has generally been fine over the last 3 years.
