Nope I called them and told them I need to bring it an asap to windward Servco. And I called the main number at 888-272-5155 that's to the main Servco consumer service and documented it. I just called yesterday and they told me to bring in at lunch time because trans needs time to cool. Just call the dealership service center and be persistent about getting it checked now before it cost thousands in warranty work.

i'm calling them tomorrow to add that to my appointment on April 1st. They already ordered the two rear window moldings for me so might as well have them check the trans oil and grease the U-joints. Thanks for the info, hopefully Mapunapuna is as friends as windward...

Just tested cold truck sat all night and no tranny skip or jumping when reversing then putting it into drive. No delay no thunk noise either.

You guys are all instigators!!! Hahaha. The only thing I might get is the ARB lockers but it should be out in a few months and install a sub/ amp (changed the front stocks to focal and it made a huge difference). I got someone to install my pop-a-lock for my tailgate and my bed lights but just got to find some time to get it done.

Bro just to let you know, I am running a 6.5" Xfire sub and that thing sounds as good as the 10" RE I had in my truck.....go see Alex or Q at JSP behind Target Salt lake he can build some nice set ups so it doesn't take any cab space

I've got some BAD news guys...

My buddy's 2016 TRD Sport 4x4 just crapped out on him. He told me that he got an indication on the dash for a AT high temp which I believe is attributed to the low trans fluid that a lot of people have been having. He has just over 2600 miles on the ODO. When he got the indication, the engine shut off and he was left with a dead rolling truck in the middle of an intersection on Kapiolani. He was able to get through the intersection and pull off to the side of Shokudo restaurant and that's where I was able to help him. We let the truck cool off and tried to figure out what to do. Servco was closed so we couldn't get it towed there. We decided to move it to a safe spot after the truck cooled off and parked it. Going to have it checked out at servco but this is complete BS for a new truck to have this kind of problem...My buddy was upset as he should be and the "toyota reliability" is out the window for him.

Bottom line: Go get your AT Fluid levels checked ASAP!

The fact that the ECU shuts off the motor in the middle of the road while rolling is scary. I hope none of you have to go through any of this!

No actions taken yet. We will find out in the next few days. I think the service department is closed on Sundays. The sales guy that sold that particular tacoma to my friend said they will work to make things right, for whatever that's worth. I will report back
