Hit the bottom of the UCA striking upwards? Or striking down on the spindle?

Upward. After you remove the ball joint bolt I hit the bottom of the UCA with an upward motion. Pops the UCA off easily. Just make sure you secure the spindle.

UCA's aren't bad like 2nd gen tacos because we don't have to bend the sheet metal. Hardest part is removing the ball joint. I almost suggest removing the entire spindle.

I'll be trying this on Monday. Son had a fever of 103.2 while I was trying to get it done. Took him into the ER and turns out he has pneumonia AND the flu. He's had a rough week. Got him on some meds so he should be good in no time.

I am going to need much more light coming out of the 4runner than currently is. In every direction. I am thinking cheapo floods on the sides and back and good spots on the front. Any suggestions?

Fun times getting my 4-Runner dirty at Anza Borrego today. I learned that my Trail has minimal ground clearance from the factory and that my skid plate is on its last leg. Time for belly skids and suspension.

Holy Cow...no I think Downsouth Motorsports is thanking you...with all the cash you just dropped there!! Wow...will be sweet when you get all those parts on!!
haha...my wife saw this picture and said "dang...his junk is all busted up!!"!!!! She thought your axle or spring was broken. It's hard to see the pile of dirt your drives side rear tire is up on. I laughed and told her you paid a lot of money to make your 4Runner to do that!! I think it looks great!

I have a mixture of Rigid's and Baja Designs...both have been awesome lights. Bright as hell, no worries of condensation built up inside the lights. And never have to worry one bit if my LED's are going to work or not!! I know they cost more...but you really do get what you paid for. I know a guy here in town. He bought a 40" light bar...cheap'o China crap...but still dropped $250. 2 months later..it's full of condensation! Looks like crap just lookin at it...and the light has truely diminished! So what does he do now? Spend another $250 on another cheap'o light?? When does it it end...not including all the labor and time mountings the lights. I'd rather just buy a good product once and be done with it...but that's just me??

    Which BD do you have?

I am thinking I need a flood reverse light as well. I figure I can take a cheapo set and silicone them to keep moisture out. They will be replaced if/when I get a bumper, so not a long life.

With your reverse lights, will you run it to your existing reverse light or would you add a switch? Is there any way you could run a certain harness to run it as both and ultimately leave the switch to have the master control?

I will probably run wires straight to a new fuse box in the engine bay. Use a lighted switch and relay to control them. I could totally tap into the reverse lights, but that would require another switch and another relay. I am thinking 2 flush mount flood in the bumper and 2 spots mounted to the diffuser...
