Next week I will be taking my girlfriend on a small vacation. We will be staying on Hilton Head Island, and also driving into Savannah.

Are there special Christmas activities taking place during the 15th-17th? I have been to both places and know that Uncle Bubba's is a great seafood restaurant, as well as Spanky's and Huey's in Savannah...anywhere else good to eat?

    Thanks for any help/advice!

Oh yeah. Well I know Paula Dean has a restaurant in SAV and Robert Irvine from Dinner Impossible has a restaurant called E.A.T. on the island. Both of them are really good I hear. If you want a really nice seafood restaurant, Old Fort Pub on the island is awesome. Its about 40 bucks a plate though, but its so good. Charley's Crab is good but kinda pricey too.

Unfortunately we will most likely be taking my girlfriend's blue Tacoma, as mine doesn't get good mpg :(. I believe we're staying at some Holiday Inn right on the beach... close to you?

I think theres a few Holiday inns on the island, but if I had to guess, you're probably staying in the one on the south end of the island down by coligny plaza. Anyway, Everything on the island is close. nothing is more than 15 minutes away at the most.

My wife and i used to live in Savannah, Whitemarsh Island to be exact. We got married on Tybee Island.

Our favorite place to eat is at Olympia. Its on river street right next to the big hotel on river street, the one thats close to wet willies. Also if you like to drink, Wet Willies is the Bombs!!!!

We will have to check out Olympia then. We don't drink too much, but it's a vacation so I'm sure we will. I was in Savannah for St. Patrick's Day and it was good times on River St. :)

My family actually had one of our reunions on Tybee Island... I love it up there!
