This is an online forum, don't take it personal.
People can put anything they want if is true or not I don't really care.
That's pretty much the same on every topic or online forum.

Yup, made it really easy to call BS and walk away from dealers that didn't want to make a deal.

Yep. I Bought my 8/100K Platinum Toyota VSC for $1050.Some would rather earn a couple hundred over nothing. Around $1000 has always been my line in the sand for a longer term VSC,

In some states you pay sales tax when you tag it, rather than at the dealer. Also, in some states if you buy 'out of state' you pay the sales tax based on your home city/state/county rate, rather than the rate of where it was purchased.
I'm curious also where it was purchased though, as it seems like a pretty good price.

I've tried with every dealer to negotiate the $900 dealer fee but it seems like there is no budge on it.

Got mine for 32,6xx out the door. Same truck. OR DCSB BBP with tow package and carpet mats. 1300 off with true car, 200 for the internet sales discount, and 500 (new baby discount) as the salesman called it lmao. Had my two month old son with me. Probably the coolest salesman ive ever met and feel like i got a good deal.

If you deal with Dean @ Toyota West Ohio he gives you a proper deal. I had a lengthy conversation with him regarding the sales process. He basically gives you 1500 or 2000 off MSRP automatically depending on what model you pick. He also told me their dealership changed from gross sales to vehicle sales, so he makes money on the quantity of vehicles he moves. He is a very very very nice guy and very open and honest. He is a "TRUCK MASTER" meaning he is seen by Toyota as a master of truck sales. He moved about 264 trucks last year, from memory from our phone call. Even with shipping from Ohio to Texas ($600)... i have a mover connection if anyone wants one... I feel i got a proper deal from Dean and am very very very satisfied with the purchase.

Why does everyone make a big deal of letting us know the out the door price? I realize that for the individual that's the most important number, what it costs you in total to buy your truck. But for comparison sake what one person pays for TTL in one area isn't relevant to what someone across the country may pay. For comparisons sake it seems that the most important number is total cost before TTL, and then how that compares to MSRP making sure all options are included. Am I missing something on the interest in out the door price?
