I'll probably start one after the rear is done. It's pretty boring so far. Wouldn't be a very good thread. Haha

did some more stuffs to the 80 today. not much, but I sawzalld the stupid rear pipe bumper off, I'll just make another one with better brackets and such. But the first photo is the worst spot i found on the rear of the frame, luckily its within the back 3 or so feet, so all I need to do is chop the rear part off and weld on some new square tubing and the rear half will be good to go! My head gasket kit comes in monday so I can finally start working on getting the truck running.....again....lol

im not sure if I shared these photos......but yeah....this is what was left of the bed haha. I really am happy how the truck looks without the bed. My dreams are getting closer and closer....god I cant wait to test the 4x4 out. Ive never driven a 4x4....although @xweslingx offered to let me drive his, I had to decline since I wanted to save the experience for when I get this baby going. She's just sitting there teasing me, like...."come on, you know you want to.....but you need to fix this, this, this, this, this, oh....and this needs to be fixed...THEN we can go :D". I am so close....lol

@Alfuh clean that section up and plate it If it's not bad. That way you don't have to cut it out and fish plate it.

    Why?

I honestly don't care what I paid for to get the truck. I'm happy that I had the opportunity to finally get one of these gems and fix it up. I've always wanted one of these trucks due to the fact that one day in the future there aren't going to be any more to find. Just to have a 1980 pickup is awesome to me, the truck is 36 years old....20 years down the road I will still have it and it'll be 56 years old....something about having a 56 year old gem just really fascinates me and just makes me feel good that I have something like that pickup. Doesn't matter how much I put into it, I will always cherish having this 1980 PU, even if it is an extreme pain in the ass lol
