    Never said it would cause any issues, but it certainly could. The question was about stress. Slickrock causes it.

    did a nice shakedown run on the truck yesterday, ran awesome. Blew up a front bypass and may do some new CV boots before we go but I was really pleased with how well it did, as always :anonymous:

    A few years ago now, this happened out on Lock Hart Rd about 20 miles from the Canyonlands NP Needles entrance. It was the "beefy" aftermarket idler too.

    Promptly SASed.
    Figured it was better to sink my money into a SAS than pay for a tow next time something lets go on the IFS.

    I think I'd broken a CV a trip or 2 before on Hells too. Only 33" AT tires.

    This wasn't even a very hard trail, but I think a couple of Moab trips and Elephant Hill the day before had softened up the idler shaft.

    kind of..... lol factory studs back out of the knuckle..... i sheared the passenger side off wheeling, I got new ones sitting at home plus a rebuild kit to go in next week

    yup cant wait to start playing with toyota axle's again. Next build is going to start next year.

    Ive had that thought once or twice. my tow rig has a stupid low first gear :turtleride: and 35's, dana 60 front, dana 70 rear, just need lockers so i can drag the new car trailer with 35's into camp :ballchain::ballchain:

    Emissions have killed the diesel market and my desire/need for one again. Extra weight would kill the ability and what little payload the PW has. New emissions stuff needs to be worked all the time to be efficient and reliable. 410hp of Hemi is plenty for my "car" duties.

    NOICE!!! More than I'll ever do again. FWC Hawk or AT Habitat and a little trailer hauling my buggy is within the PW capabilities. Value/Price made this my best option. Base model was only 6k less, no bluetooth, and would have done tires ASAP. PW will get Sliders, already has skids/lockers/disconnect/winch. I can wear out/destroy these tires before going up in size any.
