Looks great, I think I'm going to do this with a Toytec 1/2" rear shim as well.

Ain't that the way everything goes!! Love the tires! Can't believe how much better the handling is over the stock 245s! Feels a lot more stable in the curves.. Before it had under steer! Now feels more "planted" even before the 5100s! The tires are 10 ply rated but, honestly can't tell from the seat of the pants! They run quite & the installer was amazed at the little weight to get balanced! We'll see in the long term, but so far I'm happy.. I was stuck between these and the DuraTrac...

    5100's @.85 w/ 1/2" shims in back 265/75/16 tires
me too...just ordered bilstein 5100s and toytec rear 1/2 flat shims, will set fronts to 0.85 and put on 265/75/16....I'm hoping that it is a fairly budget way to achieve more aggressive looks with good street manners

3rd gen 5100 bilstiens set at 0 with ome 888s, LR UCA, 5160 bilstiens in back with icon 3 leaf aal with 1" block. Fuel savage wheel wrapped in nitto ridge grapplers 285/70/17
So 5100 set at .85 will lift front 1" if I set at 2.5, that will lift front 2 1/2" is that correct? Do you need to replace Uca with them set at 2.5? What's the diff between the 5100s and a spacer lift from Toytec?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to understand

Don't think it's recommend to set them to 2.5" since the 5100's are technically for the 2nd gen Tacomas... Someone contacted Bilstein and their tech told them that the shock will work, that's not a problem, but to stay with the .85 or 1.75 ride heights.

Read through this thread for more info. (only 6 pages, i'd read it all to absorb as much as possible like I've been trying to do the last 48 hours):

Truck looks great. To OP just to clarify, you only changed the shocks and tires? No springs or AAL?

That's it, just shocks and tires. I've had this setup for awhile now and I have no issues or regrets. The front has not sagged or settled , over 10,000 miles on the 5100's.

How much room do you have a full lock? I'm going the same route but want to run 1-1.25" wheel spacers.

Hi guys I have a 2016 4x2 sr and I planning to buy the 5100s and set the front probably on the 1.75 but I don’t know were to find the rear block spacers that will lift the back enough to level my truck..

    Any help appreciated!

You can get everything you need at headstrongoffroad.com. I'd recommend an 'add a leaf' over a rear block for an extra $10
