????? I just installed fox 2.0 r/r 12" shocks but mine are the other way. Yours are upside down? What's the purpose of that? Never saw that before.

The shocks I got are piggy back, I don't rock crawl with my truck, so I am not worried about the way they are setup. Maybe they built them wrong, I did get them for a great price, & work very well for towing.

Ok so I got my shocks installed finally today after much anticipation. Will post pics this weekend. So far so good, ride is nice but a couple of questions for those running the 2.0 setup and the rest all stock parts

    1. I kinda miss that protective boot on on the rears. Any one have issues with them and collecting grime and wearing down quickly esp when you guys are trailing in the mud? or just in plain ol dirt trails? Do they even have boots for the fox 2.0s?

    2. My factory setting was definitely not 2 inches. I only got just about an inch of height in the front. So now i'm waiting for my spanner wrench. Only concern i noted with the ride is that when i'm coming to a complete stop the truck bobbles back and forth just slightly, but noticeable. Anyone else have that issue or know whats causing that? Not enough load on the spring? Assuming I'll need to increase the preload with my spanner to get more height and help the shaking/wobbling?

    Thanks for all the help

No problems with wobble or shake when driving or stopping, don't worry about getting your shocks dirty. I have about 20K miles on my setup now.

Not sure how much of the thread is supposed to show but out of the box it had had like 3 inches showing and only gave me 1 inch of lift. How much is supposed to show or is it different for each truck?
If I adjust it all I need to do is take the wheel off and turn it with my spanner right? Still trying to figure out which direction to turn it for more lift ? Sorry still a noob here image.jpg

Did your shock have a rubber spacer at the top?.

Your shocks looks a little different. I have like a cap on the top. Can't tell if there is rubber spacer but it looks like it does.

This is the newer designed 2.0, just crank them up a little bit at a time. Here is a shot of mine, and I am at a full 3 inch lift.

Ok looks like I have a little more to go to get to yours. Just strange that I'm at only one inch. Making me second guess my install. Can I adjust them just by taking the wheel off? Haven't done those before so I'm assuming there's that small set screw I need to loosen before I start cranking it up. Which was is up?

Jack up.your truck, secure, suspension will be in full droop. Your shock adjuster has the sec screw, mine are the old type, loosen set screw just enough to turn your adjuster, loosening to much and it could skip/slip/strip the threads on the shock body, make a small paint, or magic marker mark where your adjuster is at, rotate adjuster in 1/2 to 1 inch increments. Do not go over 2.5 inches with stock control arms. Post pics when it is where you want it, go get it aligned. Looking forward to seeing your lifted truck.

I don't know his name or if he's on the forum but he is on the Tacoma World Facebook group. He told me he has only the Fox 2.0s up front set at 2 inches w/ 285s.

So looks like Mully you have the originaly collar that fits the fox spanner wrench. I got this wrench 398-00-370 but it fits the older collars it looks like. Does anyone have the newer 2.0 coilovers with the rounded adjustment collars? The holes almost just look like finger holes and dont look like anything would fit in there snugly.
If they need to be compressed and then hand turned i'm gonna be pissed!! Hope someone has an answer.

Can anyone with an ome lift give a review? I thought by the title it would be a comparison but this whole thread minus one post is about fox 2.0. Thanks!

OME, great shocks, built for the roads in Astrilia. Reminds me of Monroe numatics.

Directly from one of the service managers at fox.

Every Fox coil-over needs a spring compressor to adjust. For your particular shock we do not have a spanner wrench available. I would suggest sending the shock to us for the adjustment so the warranty is not voided. If you decide to send it in please visit ridefox.com<http://ridefox.com> and submit a service request form.

Basically all coilovers shouldn't be adjusted while on the truck. That's a bunch of bs to me. Why don't they state that in the manual or directions. Fox products already leaving a bad aftertaste. How is a customer supposed to send in coilovers for adjustment and wait a week with nothing to drive.

This is a bunch of bullshit, I have never taken the shock, or coilovers off to adjust them and never will. I would have lost the race.

1st place trophy car with adjustable coilover shocks, and yes they are no 2.0 Toyota shocks, but always adjusted on the car.

I love my 2.0 but I will I got the 2.5 extended travel sometime just depends how much you off road.
they don't recommend 3 because of the uca but if you have after market uca you can out them to 3 inches

You have to take out the coilover put it on a spring compressor and hand twist t
