I had requested the day off... the answer was NO! My wife is at her Christmas party by herself. I picked out this beautiful dress. We had a room for the night at the hotel. Drinks were going to be on the house. Dinner was free and I'm stuck here at work unloading a Fu*kin' 53' trailer. This is BS! To make matters worse, the company I work for doesn't even have a Christmas party for their employees. I'm pissed off! Thank you FedEx! There's nothing better than a bonus at the end of the year... oh yeah I don't get one of those either.

Albert bro....you need to call me and vent. I know saying some obscenities to me on the phone will ease your sorrows.

My friend back home worked for FedEx for a very short amount of time.... Now he works full time and moving up in the world at UPS. He loves it there. Hint? He went from pushing boxes to his own route in a matter of months.

Truer words have never been spoken. I have spent to many holidays sitting in the middle of the ocean watching a radar. I am finally getting the chance to spend Christmas with my dad after 12 years without. I do not have duty and am not required to be any where this year so while I have cursed the many holidays before I sincerly am thankful for the time I get to spend this year with my dad, my wife and my son.

While we may spout off about our hardships your situation non the less sucks

I can totally relate!!! I work in a factory and they can piss on your party just as well.... Believe me, I've had to sacrifice a lot of my life for my job also, including 50% of all my weekends. It really sucks. But -unfortunately, it's the path I/we got stuck into.

You can't complain about it, because afterall....if you really hate it, you should start looking for another job.

For me personally - they've got me by the TITS (laugh). I'd never be able to find another job and make this much money.

Did you ever consider CALLING IN SICK?
