Do you need to know, or care?
Well I'm wondering this too. The Gen 2 had both antennas, regular stick on passenger side and the sat radio/Nav fin antenna rear end of the cab. Did they incorporate both into the fin, or is there something else I'm missing?

At first I thought windshield, but I don't see any lines as well. Took me about 2 weeks to realize there was no antenna on my 3rd Gen. LOL

App is for iPhone or android. Doesn't matter what package you have. It's for your cell phone.

The TRD models and limited have entune premium. Doesn't matter about the P&T package. The entune app is for your smartphone, basically a better way to use apps between the two.

Download the entune app from the app store or google play store, which ever OS you use. It will have you sign in, and you put in your vin#. I believe there is info on the Toyota web site. I will check for you and post a link if I find one. Do you have the app and are having trouble connecting to your Head Unit, or what is holding you up?

I have the SR5 with the Entune Audio Plus. I installed the Entune App on the phone. When I entered my VIN, I was informed that my vehicle was not Entune App Suite compatible. I tried entering my VIN three times, and deleted the app off my phone. I figured considering the poor ratings it received, I probably wasn't missing much anyway.

I'm having a problem with the Bluetooth connection. It works great when I first get in but after I shut off the truck and start it again the signal skips. I have to manually disconnect my phone then reconnect it to work again. Any input on what I can do to simplify?

The app is only for entune premium units. Entune plus does not have app suite. I think you can get premium in the SR5, but its only standard in the TRD and limited. Sorry man, you cant use the app, but you can connect scout GPS to yours.

Yeah, I have the navigation app installed. I'm not a big user of GPS's though. I have a Garmin I purchased six years ago, that I've probably used five times. I prefer looking at a map beforehand, and just remembering the directions. However, they are useful in a busy city...where you have to concentrate more on traffic, than road signs.

What phone are you using? IPhone have been known to be buggy, it seems entune is geared more to android. There may be an update that you need too.

I'm on an iphone6. I did the systems software update and I think an etune update about 4 weeks ago. I'll check for s more recent update. Are the problems within etunes software then?

Actually the problem is there even if I'm just streaming Bluetooth not connected with etune.

There are some threads on this same problem, I can´t find them right now though. It had something to do with the Iphone, can´t remember what the problem was or what the solution was however. I will try to see what I can come up with, sorry I am not much help right now.

@Tonkaman, I am seeing different issues from members with iPhone6. There doesn´t really seem to a true solution either. If you have updated the Head Unit in your truck, have updated the entune app, and if there is an update for your iOS, maybe contact toyota support. The link on post #950 will have a 1-800 number at the bottom of the page, maybe they can be of better assistance.

I use the iPhone 6 Plus and I have never had any problems. Bluetooth works flawless. entune itself is kinda dumb but it's better than nothing. 64 gig thumb drive full of music ftw. I can read my texts, who wants to reply to texts with this thing? Not me. Nav is ok, I like google maps more but it works fine. The apps are ridiculous Pandora/weather being the only useful ones imo.

Also try forgetting the connection and re connect with the Bluetooth after hard booting your phone. Also as stated earlier if using split home screen do not use quick contacts on your home screen. I have no idea why iPhone has to do it that way but it works.

the app I am referring to in the post is not the entune app. It's the "Tacoma Owners" app for your phone.
