My buddys son jumped into my truck the other night and could not get the seat belt to latch, I figured he was just not pushing hard enough but when I went to try it, "sure shit!" I'm going to be taking it back to the dealer this week to get it replaced. I can't be to mad about it, this is the only problem I've had with the truck.

I just noticed yesterday I am having the exact same problem you described. The rear driver side seat belt will not latch. Just to make sure I tried to latch the rear driver side seat belt to the center and passenger side, with no luck. I also tried to latch the rear passenger side into the rear driver side, also with no luck. The center and passenger work as they should. So basically I cannot secure a passenger in that seat belt. I know it's been awhile, but what came of your situation? Did the dealership replace your faulty seat belt? I plan to stop by my dealership this week to get this resolved.

Call dealer first, and just see how they respond.

If negatively (for the OP's '12) check your warranty manual.

IIRC seat belts/mechanisms have a 10 yr unlimited mileage.

There are lots of rumors on the web regarding 'lifetime'. But those are just rumors.

The latches only work in the correct receiver. Maybe you are trying to connect the driver's side harness to the center passenger receiver?

    Are you sure about this?

I'm thinking they are all the same.

Before I went to the dealership, I wanted to make sure I could recreate the problem. I didn't want to walk in and watch them snap the seat belt in perfectly, and look like a fool. Well good thing I checked. I could not recreate the problem. McTeague you are correct. The driver and passenger seat belt latch will not latch into the center receiver, and vice versa. I assume I was trying to latch into the wrong receiver. Needless to say, I see no need to have this looked at. Maybe I need to be looked at.
Oh boy, I just realized I have posted in the 2nd gen, and mine is a 3rd gen. Sorry ladies and gents. I'll stop while I'm ahead.

I know the left rear and the center will not interchange, I keep the latch for the center tucked away under the seat to keep my kids from mixing them up - makes life easier. :)

As I don't have a center belt I " assumed " that they were all the same. Evidently not... learn something everyday.
