They may, but that wasn't in the price quote.

Oh sure, just curious if it had been considered. Might not be worth it in this first batch, though, since trying to round up the buyers and such has already been a pain. (Trying to find a good PC shop in Brooklyn that doesn't want to charge a minimum of $500 a job has been tough.)

Minimum of $500? fuck that. Sometimes a shop will ask to wait until he has a couple more items that need to be done in the color you want to make it worth while for the shop, but I've never had to have a minimum price for powder

If they really charge you that, have it shipped to me and I'll drop it off at my powder coater and then when finished, express ship it to you and you can save around $400.00.

My plans are to have mine powder coated and then cover the front with a giant sheet of Velcro loop so that I can have a place to put a bunch of my LBX pouches and be able to easily remove them when needed.

I'm being slightly hyperbolic, but most of the places here don't do 1-off projects for normal people, as it's all industrial. I could probably run stuff out of the city to NJ or upstate and get something more reasonable, but it costs me $50 in gas and tolls every time I leave the islands. :)

Well, if it really turns into a train-wreck let me know, pieces like these usually cost about $50.00 to $60.00 powdercoat black at my local shop. Have never asked about other colors so I imagine they might cost a bit more.

Thanks for the offer. Really nice of you. I'll probably just rattle can for now since this is such a fair deal at the current price. It's not like it'll be too hard to pull it out in the future and get it done when I'm not in the land that DIY forgot.

Out of everyone who has ordered and paid, who has an access cab? I will arrange for yours to be shipped first so we can get photos and confirmation of installation for potential future AC customers.

I was in on Nat's original buy of this. I just did a prime and paint on mine and it's held up fine. It's been in for a couple years now with no signs of wear. I'm a big fan of powdercoat but for this application save your money and use it to fill the panel with bags and goodness!
