Reset my engine/transmission "learning"

How can I totally reset my engine / transmission learning my driving habits?

I want to start back at square one. New transmission and insurance tracker program is done (saved 25%!) so now it's time to stop driving like a grandma.

 

My guess is...................it will learn your new driving habits , good or bad.

 

Drive it like you stole it for the next 5000 miles.

 

Disconnect your battery

 

Need Techstream or the like.
Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / Learning Value Reset,
Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / Fuel Density Learning Value Reset,
etc.

 

If I don't have Techstream and therefore cannot reset it, will it continue learning? Or does my taco forever think I'm a 90 yr old grandma with saggy tits? (has 2.1k miles)

 

As long as those tits don't hold the brake pedal down, just start driving as you want to.

mine has about the same miles and it thinks i am grandpa! work around for me long ago is drive in "S" mode all the time and i shift when i want it to shift............

 

These warlocks are quite saggy. Dealer always checks proper mat installation when reality is they should be checking tit sag.

 

You might try disconnecting the battery for 24 hours.
That's what I did when I had a Infinity G35

 

I may be wrong, but that will probably just erase all app info, door lock settings, contacts, etc. I think the only way to reset the transmission is with techstream.

 

Repair manual implies that Techstream would be required as it has a step after replacing transmission fluid to reset the computer and techstream must be used for that.

 

My service ticket doesn't explicitly say they reset the learning component, but they "cleared all data and disconnected battery" - I wonder if this is the same?

 

The should have, but probably no way to know for sure, but you can always ask the dealer. I personally would just drive it.

 

Ya that's my plan, just figured if I could reset it I might as well.

Truck drives like a dream now tho, new transmission is so damn smooth.

Took mine in this weekend for slugglish shifting, and downshifting...
45min later they told me they reset it.

are these the only two things to change? whats the etc.? does that mean there are more steps to clear it?
